After playing this release, I think its their weakest yet. And this is not me shitting on them. Its obvious they have a ton of talent. Models are very good and animation gets better. But their character models are getting worse with each game. Its the dreaded uncanny valley. Since most are DAZ models, i know there are different character packs.

I think the storyline was interesting up to the last one. Now its just really odd.

apologies for my rambling. I know its the best game on the site right now, seeing most games suck ass nuts.

When I started playing NLT games, TGO was almost half finished. At that moment I was amazed by the quality of TON, and I found out about LE later, because it was made simpler.. You greatly underestimate the role of TON and the leap in visual terms that it brought.

Yeah.. I am sorry. I wanted to say Treasure of Nadia but unconciously typed TGO instead of TON. TON is their main raiser and no doubt about that the amount he said even if not the accurate one I can bet my life that almost most of it was generatated by TON. Their business started to went downhill with TGO. Mostly because it did not deliver from the teaser, not enough mystery and story depth as TON. If I remember correctly they lost about ~2k supporter.

Hey, what is the name of the character who is standing close to title (right hand side from POV), is blonde.?
I had a chat about her with a helpful guy last month but forgot to ask her name.
With a name I would be able to track whenever some actual sex happens with her and won't need to ask in the thread.
Anyone please?

Makes me wonder if the dev really puts any effort into updates any more. I mean I feel like all that was updated could have been done in a day or two instead of two weeks. Maybe he should consider doing monthly updates, there would be more maybe?

you people think that NTL will be forever making good games for you ? At some point man burns out and retires. He has delivered plenty already and its amazing enough that he is making games to this day. I wouldn't be surprised if this was his last game

Guys, I went to the site you mentioned and found the NLT interview in text format. I didn't know it existed because I started getting interested in NLT games later. I got to know NLT a little better and it was a very enjoyable read. The interview is dated January 2022, when NLT was wrapping up TON and moving on to TGO. I thought, "Hey, others might be interested in this too!" Posting the interview here. I took the liberty of adding some pictures to complement the text. Enjoy.

P.S. Considering NLT has 25 years of amateur game development under his belt, I'm guessing he's older than I previously guessed. 40+. He's in good shape, which is confusing.

Yesterday was the latest chapter release of Symphony of the Serpent but a bonus chapter is already underway and will be released mid-month! Two new side quests and bonus girl content alongside a new pinup and booty call will be coming June 15th!

In other news we're working on creating the first podcast episode which will feature a behind the scenes look at how we're animating the next action sequence slated for release in the July 2nd chapter of SotS.

To be fair, this "if it ain't broke don't fix it" argument is pretty stupid if one gives it some real thoughts.

Not that NLT is going to do it, but...

...to challenge himself?

Or

...he got bored with the same old same old?

Or

...he wants to be more than a one-trick pony?

The possibilities are endless. But the probabilities are low.

In an interview, NLT said that the road to something great consists of many small steps. Based on the experience of LE, TON was born. ;)
TGO is a lot of work on character design, with a lot of emphasis on animation.
SotS brought isometric view, combat system, a practical game movie with animation, a sea of actors and voice acting.
Isn't this a challenge to myself? Isn't this an evolution?
The LE thread was created in August 2018. 7 years - 3 completed games and SotS in active development.
And these games make you go somewhere, find something, buy something, and by getting the item, you open a locked door somewhere else or a chest. We get scenes and content for doing it ourselves, opening the wrapper where the content is, and not getting it for free by holding down the "Ren Py skip" pedal.

NLT knew from the very beginning how such content should work in the game - as a reward for actions, for searching and for quests.
