Haven't touched this game for 2-3 months, then downloaded the last version, opened it and dropped after 10-15 minutes of playing... Can't point out what exactly is wrong for me with the last two games, but for some reason I'm just not crazy about them. I was super excited about every single update for TLE and TON back in the days, like "Damn, what's next, what's next??". But I felt nothing like that about TGO and SoTS. The technical progress of NLT games is obvious, the animations get better, QoL elements keep improving etc. But still for me, TGO and SoTS don't have that spark TLE and TON had.

That's true. The mechanics have become very monotonous and predictable. Not just that, but things don't make sense anymore—and not in a good way. Like how can you have vaginal sex with one character in the story, but only oral in hookups? Characters have become extremely shallow too. I also really preferred the puzzles over the fights, but that's just me. All that being said though, I still want to see where the story goes. Who knows, maybe the next game gets better. lol That would actually make sense. Unless NLT just doesn't give a shit about quality anymore. I feel like the saga has become like GTA V. Way too many people are paying NLT, so why mess with the formula. I guess we can expect real change and improvement in quality only when the subscriptions drop. (Before anyone jumps at my throat: yeah, yeah, I know I'm a freeloader with no vote. lol I'm just saying.)

Not from my memory. It’s has been rare to get it within 24 hours, usually 2 or 3 days.

But this time is does seem to be taking longer than it has done in the past.

No. If this were correct, we would not talk about receiving updates.
- The (full) game version here does no online checks
- The updates have no engine parts included (anyone can look at the content - just media, a bit js, a few cfg files)

Well this game doesn't have a cracked launcher like TGO did. And NLTs team has made clear efforts to reduce piracy of their products by asking YouTubers not to share pirated copies. Also other sites have removed NLTs games from their sites. Which is likely as they were asked to. Making it harder for pirated copies to float around the internet

I played the full game TON and I loved it. TGO was ok, SoTS is a bit mixed feeling. I really dig the new gameplay features, fights are actually just puzzles and I can see the potential. But characters all look a bit bland or even forced. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the succubus character in the logo screenshot. That will probably be the hottest scene of all NLT games.

After thinking about it a bit more, I think another reason SotS just doesn't live up to ToN and LE is the MC.

In both LE and ToN, you start out as a hapless virgin with nothing to his name and no relationships to speak of. As the game progresses, the MC becomes better and better at charming and seducing their love interests until they become a full-on consumate womanizer and professional badass.

However, in this game, your character doesn't start from 0. Sure, the game wants to convince you of it by wiping his memories, but he starts out being incredibly badass, already able to wipe the floor with the enemies, and seemingly go from virtually zero relationship with the female love interests to having sex with them in the blink of an eye. It's so comical how the player just goes from 0 to 100 in terms of his skills and charm even though we're barely at the 20% mark. What's even there to look forward to? Another 60% of progress of the character mindlessly getting into the pants of every women he makes eye contact with?

I thought of a good ending. In the end, the protagonist suddenly woke up and saw a Greek mythology story beside his bed. It turned out that this was all a dream of his.

It really depends on the writing. Sure the 'hero's journey' arc is the oldest and most classic story arc for a reason.

BUT there can be very good amnesia type stories, Bourne and especially star wars: Knights of the old republic both are exceptional stories in a similar vain to this one. I am not expecting that type of twist here but there is room for something good to happen still.

Yeah, with this new MC it feels to me that the sexy stuff happens out of nowhere with zero build up and barely any context. Boom - he bangs Amira. Another boom - Nia gets naked. Next boom - he bangs Nia. Why? Just because "the script" says so, not because these characters somehow came to it...
Also those strippers/workers/nurses thingies are the dumbest addition to this game and the biggest waste of dev's resources, imo.

Right? Like the whole appeal of the other two games was the MC being able to work his way up to be with women normally out of his reach, like in LE it was your not-mom, the reporter, the dean of the school, and the nun, in ToN it was the treasure hunter, the bounty hunter, the super rich mansion owner, all stuff way outta your reach. It's quite a low bar when strippers becomes the main love interest.
