Yeah, so lazy. Kind of like a person who doesn't bother to read up why an update is taking 7 months (not 5, lazy math and all).
Between revising the intro and the threading of that revision throughout, designing several new characters, integrating their storylines and updating the existing ones to include those new characters, adding new content - it's easy to see how lazy a devteam of three can be. Devs should know to just pose a few out-of-the-box 3D characters and add dialogue such as "OMG, she's naked. Let's fuck" "Oh, boy, yeah. Your cock is so big. I just came." (wash/rinse/repeat) for players to enjoy. /s

2018 we had like five updates, 2019 four, 2018 became two, last year (2021) two, and now seems like we getting only one per year.

It's almost as if the more game you make, the more you have to keep up to date with plot, design, coding, artwork, and more.
Yup, that's what I said in my first reply.
v0.68.2a took 6 months. v0.47.5a took 7 months. This isn't a new occurrence. If this current update takes the same amount of time as that v0.47.5a, then April 20, 2022 would be the release date. So this one is still not the longest update to date (yet).
Can you please go back to the Summertime Saga thread it should not take 7m to update

So I can read complaints that SS shouldn't take over a year for the big tech update (rewriting all code, posing for 16:9, etc)? Hmmm ... SS or TT ... TT or SS ...

I'm personally think the update will be worth. Let's wait until sunday.

Nothing wrong with Hopium Didn't the Dev say sth about reworking the system. I'm a CS student and even the small code I write bugs out very often. Ngl when it comes to large scale reworks like this, I know it might seem really bad, but you really don't want to rush it. And some tasks pop up that you could never have planned for or anticipated. It's par for the course that Expected Dates are slightly tentative.
The way I see it there's two extremes to producing the content:
1) Invest time to rework important facets of the game to improve performance, user interface, structure etc (Which the Devs are supposedly doing right now), which in turn could also make it easier to produce content in the long run.
2.) Pump out a different girl every few months, no changes to gameplay or anything of the such. Just rewrite the template for a different kink and move on. I mean, this is viable, and no knocks on it, but it can get boring from a consumption side.
The second style could easily work for tons of other games where it's just a simple rpg or a climb the ladder to a new opponent sort of thing. And I like games of that kind, make no mistake, but Taffy Tales is kinda trying to be more than that tbh, I mean isn't that the reason to like the game in the first place? So there is no big problem with them making overhauls of the system in this manner.
Besides I'm a simple man to please, some Gerda pussy makes the wait worth it
