And same as you, i also expected the 2 routes thing but i thought it will be more about the mc and red thing;different decisions leads to differents outcomes , but we don't always get what we hope for. How do I install the update without wiping my saves from previous versions?

If you are on anything but Android - you have no worries. I hear that on Android, downloading the new update will wipe saves, but someone posted tips on how to fix that. Other than that, saves don't transfer.
