Unity Taffy Tales [S1 Redux] [UberPie]

This game is by far, like, the funniest bullshit ever. I have never seen a dev grab their entire game, and instead of cleaning it up, and rereleasing:

Using about 70% old scenes, cutting the games length down to a 4 hour experience at most (when IT WAS, A NEAR 20 HOUR GAME AT LEAST), and selling this shit for 25 a pop. I loved Taffy Tales as a game, but my god. If you're going to recycle the entire game and remake it, at least put some effort into it.

What happened right here and now, was that a cashgrab slow development game, literally turned itself into a cashier grabbier slower developing, barely starting game. Adding a few still images, a scene or 2, but just generally removing every...thing. I was going into this, thinking that this would be a massive REDUX, AN OVERHAUL OF THE OLD GAME, and if you use it being a Season 1 Redux as an excuse, fuck you LMFAO. They put in minimal work when their pay is incredibly high, and I'd rather trash the old art style and have em hire like a fuckton of artists so this shit gets done remotely faster.

You are way too invested in this emotionally and perhaps even financially, free users just see this and think 'wow this update is garbage' and move on with their lives.
Dev gave you a headpat? so now you feel like its your lives duty to defend his non existing honor, having a meltdown for 2 days straight?
You pay 7-25$ a month for an entire year to get 300 AI CGs of shit that was already hand drawn before, just so the dev can milk a bit more while putting minimum effort?

Dude, one more time - the overwhelming majority of his followers are happy. If you were even slightly right, they would’ve all unsubscribed at once, and we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. There will always be people who are unhappy, no matter what.

That seems like unnecessary work. While I'm not saying Uberpie wouldnt do something that isn't necessary... Moving the hammer is like taking an hour to move a chair in your living room 3 inches and calling it a renovation. I'd review what you need to do for whatever you want. You may not have triggered the hammer's appearance by doing other things first.

I just finished all quests in S1 redux. The route lasts around thirty days, mainly includes Clara's story before going her home, Becca's story in school, Mary's watching movie and losing weight and helping Tiffany fix her computer.

My opinion about the new version is that it's like the 50 series video cards, the price is exorbitant, but there's no gain

Are the examples of work in Western 2D better than in this project? I've already mentioned that the only one on Uber’s level or higher is Cloud Meadow. I’d say that’s a top-tier artist, but no one has even come close to them yet - plus, it’s pixel art.

Otherwise, you’re just repeating the same thing: that it’s shit, shit for you, shit, shit, etc. Do you realize that for many people, including me, the art is amazing? And it has improved a hundred times compared to before.

The only thing I didn’t like was Uber’s early AI period, but back then, AI as a whole was still weak. I’ve already explained in detail, with examples, why AI is just another tool now, like a digital tablet. No one’s talking about pure AI-generated art from raw prompts - that stuff is trash and a nightmare.

What Uber is doing is a fusion of a good (not the best) artist and AI, and that’s exactly what makes it work.

Taffy Tales used to have in my opinion the best art style for a porn vn game and a very compelling story, as pointed many times when you inject AI to a project such as this for god only knows why it loses its soul. The mechanics may have improved, but the core of what made the game successful in the first place is gone. I don't know what made Uber take this rout, but AI i a tool and should remain as such, if he wants to generate poses and polish them fine, if he wants to generate backgrounds and polish them fine but make the tool do all the work and claim you worked hard is a slap to the face to all his backers, I won't even go into detail of how some of his models have clear outer lines in some parts (hands, faces, etc.) and at others not at all, he appears to not even bother to pay attention to the cropping he does after the AI generates a model for him. I really wanted this game to return to form but from what I saw on this update and from the side to side comparisons Taffy Tales is gone and maybe it should die. And from a quick glance at the discord, people are not happy there to with the update.
