No, the project does not contain serious violence (definitely not more than other Patreon - supported projects)

But it does contain sexual violence of nonconsensual sex, which is against Patron rules.

on Steam, it’s for existing in a "grey area." They’ve decided, based on their own interpretation, that it feels like a school setting - even though we’ve taken every measure to ensure otherwise: the lecture hall setting, clothes style, clear warnings that all characters are over 18, etc. But none of that seems to matter. There’s no mention of a school or anything related to it in the project.

um, yeah, Steam owns the site,and they interpret as they see fit. Also, what drugs is Uberpie on that he thinks there is no mention of "a school" in the game? That's like half the scenes in the game.

A weird choice on steams part to have their page up for months before removing it. At the same time, I was expecting this more early on. Idk why people were saying Steam was more lax with their rules than patreon.

but the future doesn't look bright and I could see this getting abandoned if the substar stats can't cover staff expenses.

They are currently grossing just as much $$$ on Subscribestar, if not more, than they did on Patreon before they got booted.

To my knowledge, Steam is cracking down heavy on school uniforms in adult games. Poor timing really, and I was actually thinking of getting the game on Steam if it released. I know other devs have had issues before and they just made changes to their game to fit Steam's standards and try and upload it again under a different name (I don't really know the specifics as I'm not a dev).

Honestly, I think KaguraGames plays it best as a publisher. Release a "SFW" version of the game that nobody is going to play, and have a separate patch that everybody applies to their games to enjoy the intended product. More publishers are doing something similar I believe. If you're planning on selling an adult game on Steam, I'd just go this route, saves you the headache of dealing with Steam's ever changing standards.

Uberpie created the subscribestar after he announced the intent to submit the game for consideration on Steam. We've already had this conversation several times in the past year here.

Also, you do realize why platforms like Patreon and Subscribestar exist, right? Because it allows creators to earn an income WHILE creating something so that they can have an opportunity to pay the bills and make a living rather than slogging through with debt and loans during the development process. Without such platforms many of the games you play on this site would never have been started.

The platforms aren't a replacement for retail.

The problem is, it looks like uberpie got a whole year of support for doing steam version that now is irrelevant, and for most supporters always was. While I doubt losing steam was intentional, it happened. So now we have a year of supporters money spent on supporting team with irrelevant work.

It is a murky waters to make a promise that you might not legally deliver.

I don't mean that steam version is unplayable, just that it now have no point to exist.
Unless it will have routes in first seasons that wasn't there like sisters content, ntr traps etc.

If there was no murky waters, how come they failed to deliver? They gambled on steam letting them in, despite already being booted from patreon (they state that they don't know the reason they got rejected now twice). They literally made a promise that they had no assured way to uphold.

I just wanted to know before I downloaded it cuz that's download time that could be going to a different game/artist. Other people's 2 cents may not be a deciding factor but it'll be helpful.
