Edit: Download v0.85.1a (I played through this version to 100% without any major bugs, the quest hints are still screwed up some of the scenes seem out of order, and the times the quest are supposed to play out don't always match up, but nothing game breaking)

everytime it just says she keeps her room locked-the keys in my inventory dont do anything,hence stuck tried everytime of day go to bed next day same.looking through thread seems im not the only one with this issue or that unless you start again with 85.1 it could be resolved.played to 61 percent for the game to break with mary of all people.for me this incompatible save with each new version is a complete turn off,the dev putting saves out for major releases does not help when the game breaks before you get to the end of a version.loved it while playing but dont think i will try 85.1 or the next few releases maybe dev will sort out the save system if it ever is,but i wish him/her the very best going forward

yeah that bug is a bit of a joke, it has been there for far too long, though based on my playthrough it seems to have been fixed, and fingers crossed, this will be the last you need to start from the beginning (for a harem playthough anyway), since they seem to have nailed down all its intro place holders.
Though to be honest my fingers are getting a bit worn from all the crossing they have been doing for this game.

I'm not 100% sure I understand you.
This game has always had an NTR theme, Its a story about a gang who are drugging/enslaving women, it's stupid to think they won't try with your women, the "No NTR" route just means you win those encounters, not that the attempts aren't made.

Stil996 appears correct. The person seeking help used "Mary" and "sports" even though they mistyped the actual quest text ... which means they are actually looking for her clothes, not "gym" clothes for the MC.

See #7 and #1 in FAQ below. The person you are supposed to pick the money up from - she told you where to meet her. Also, you have been working through that blackmail route with her for several quest tasks.

See #14, #13, and #1 in FAQ below. This game was always intended to have a separate NTR route. It's never been a secret, just like Stil996 stated. It is always meant to be a separate - optional - route and players have to actively opt-in to get that route.

Or, you know, stop skipping through the dialogue (either by holding down CTRL or clicking the skip checkbox) and actually read it - many of the questions found on here are answered in the dialogue just before the task gets activated. Also, this is pretty much a point-and-click experience. Go to various locations, point-and-click. When I was running through v0.85.1a this week, I forgot what to do when the quest came up for getting rid of Gerda. However, I was at her house - and I clicked at various options and then, by process of elimination, clicked the cellar doors in the backyard. Voila!

Related: I will say that the v0.85.1a update ran much smoother than v0.82.4a. It took me about 160 game days in v0.82.4 to complete, but in v0.85.1 it only took me about 110 game days (and if I had timed a few quests better, probably could have done it in 100).

Ditto, it took me 116 days, but I also forgot Jessica on two different Sundays, so 102 days sounds about right to me.

No. there is no new save to unlock
This is because the last update only remade the early plot instead of adding new content in the end.

The unlocked saves are for the "new content". that is if you download v0.6 it would have a patreon code to unlock a save that starts out with all the 0.5 content done, so you can immediately get to the new 0.6 content.
Since this time the new content is the start of the game it was deemed redundant by the author.

Speaking of... I find it really shitty to monetize the fact you are break savegame compatibility every single update
every time there is an update you are forced to either pay real money, or replay the entire game from the very beginning because the author decided to make your old saves invalid.

every time there is an update you are forced to either pay real money, or replay the entire game from the very beginning because the author decided to make your old saves invalid.

It's not every single update. The were unlockable saves for the previous 5 updates for nearly the past 2 years: v0.68.2, v0.47.5, v0.22.0, v0.17.0, v0.14.3.

Because the storyline was revamped in the early parts of the story and characters added in the beginning in the update for v0.82.4 - an unlockable save was not possible. In v0.85.1, it had all those same reworks, plus 400+ fixes that included rearranging the quest line for Becca and so, again, an unlockable save does nothing.

Also, I haven't spent a penny for the many times I've gone through Taffy Tales.

I was absolutely not agreeing with your premise, but we are talking about 2 separate things, yes. The way Unity is saving the data for players is through the windows registry. The windows registry saves information based upon version ID. When a new version is played, the Windows Registry doesn't recognize it as the same item. Is there a different way a developer could save the data for Unity - yes. Do I think that UberPie is doing it because he's greedy? No. Do I think that UberPie is doing it because he doesn't have the skill to do it another way? Yes.

Also, it is a valid counter argument because you are arguing it on this site. If you were arguing it on UberPie's discord or patreon, my response wouldn't be valid. There are about 6k patreons - of which, at most half donate enough to receive access to updates when they go live (for Taffy Tales, needs to be a donation of $5 or greater). And yet there is at least 10k people who find a way to access the update within days. Bottom line is - at least for Taffy Tales - the most a person is out to go through an update "as a patron" is $5 - and since it updates about 2x per year - that's $10 a year. If you want the savegame code (when it's offered) "as a patron" it's maybe $20 per year, at most. Since I have never paid for this - or any other - item that I have downloaded via this site - I have always done so for free.

I misread what you meant when talking about making saves compatible. Yes.

I do disagree with your premise, it's a shoddy attempt at a conclusion.

Unity, by default, sets up saving information through PlayerPrefs which are written to Windows Registry. UberPie, as we can see through many iterations this product, is not that adept at coding, logic mapping, etc. Even with over 400+ fixes in v0.85.1a - I found at least 20 more in my playthrough that should have been easy fixes and easily caught in testing - and yet they remain. I think some things are over his knowledge and skill set.

Also - you seem to disregard that this is a product in development. Not a final product. Any playing of this product before final development is going to have elements that aren't satisfactory in an experience for players. Hell, there are finished products released in mainstream gaming that fail at doing what they should be doing.

Your argument for the most common reason people are here is flawed - you might have that experience yourself and you might know several others, but you have no data to back that up. There are also those who are here because they are flat-broke, their country makes it difficult to transfer funds, porn is illegal in their country to purchase, or - like me - believe that if I have the wherewithal to access it without paying, why pay? I don't attribute your position to any kind of malice - but I do think you are conflagrating the problem by conflating two problems and making it a conspiracy.
