Yes there are quite a few what I call situational discrepancies, I will say though that it is not all the writers fault. If the writer wants to comment he can. I know he has explained it before in this thread so if you want you can search his user name and see what he had to say about it I have a bad habit of mis characterizing what was said so I will leave that there.
When it comes to Darnell he was like that in the beginning and when they redid the whole beginning of the game the update before this one things changed. Somehow things totally changed when Roger hit the scene. On the other hand though it could also be explained once Red started to push back when Darnell was threatening his friends and girls Red started taunting Darnell about Red banging his sister this could explain why Darnell started to think differently about things or the writer/Dev might be trying to make Darnell's character more conflicted thus adding depth to his character. hard to really say what is going on there.
Yes the other sides to the MC's personality are there there is cosplay mostly harmless to Red but none the less not desirable for him (Red is the dominate Alpha of them all , there can be only ONE ...) Even Blue is a hindrance to Red in some ways but as Blue gets more used to Red he is becoming subservient to Red the one that Red would not be able to control at all I would bet is the Gay/Trap personality which I think is the last one we have only heard a name of this is just a wild theory at this point though.
I view the whole thing as it should be a work in progress I suspect the story boarding is being done on the fly to some extent as the creators mind flips this way and that way. This is common for games in Development and not so much for games that are secret til they are released not to say that pro games are always well thought out story wise just that we don't see the changes that happen along the way.
