And given his capricious nature, what is considered good now may later be considered bad - and vice versa.
Also, it's not like anyone but Uberpie and itch will know what his actual sales are.
Redux does seem to play better and have some new stuff but it certainly isn't worth restarting. Also damn replaying the early shit with Danny's mom, Red is arguably worse than Darnell at least from what we seen on screen. I'm surprised it wasn't rewritten considering the later arcs have the MC trying to help her.

I miss when Red was more devious and cunning in the earlier parts of the games, they have clearly softened him up in season 5 compared to beginning of the game
I doubt sales will really matter. At the current time his subscribestar account is making him 28,458 per month. A new game from scratch will start him at 0 with a record of not finishing games.

No he wouldn't. He'd start at 28,458 per month (using your math). The subscriptions are for the Creator, not the creations. he'd keep his same account, edit the page and tier benefits, and would go from there. For his itch account, he'd keep his creator page that is joined to the Taffy Tales game page and then add new game pages when he released new content.
And even if he were to drop development of Taffy Tales, there is several days worth of game time (not skipping dialogue) and a shitton of lewd content ... Dropping would not hurt him with many subscribers nor would it hinder him from getting new ones.
May see a dip to start, but first new release would cause a spike in subs.
Red is less in control toward season 5 because Peter is gaining confidence and control... Leading toward a personality that would be more of a balance between the two. Makes perfect narrative sense for a character arc.
There was never a season 1 until the redux. They named everything through v0.89.8 as "Seasons 1-4" in July of 2023. They stated at that time they were going to break those up into season at some point down the line.
They got kicked off Patreon in March of 2024. At that time, they decided it was time to break apart into Seasons to sell as retail versions on Steam. The first - "Season 1 Redux" - was revised, revisited, and revamped using AI for the art modeled upon Uberpie's previous artwork.
Steam did not accept their submission in January of 2025 due to the "gray area" of the school (college) setting with younger looking characters. And so they are now selling "Season 1 Redux" on itch.io.
Season 1 Redux is about 20-30% of all the content, almost entirely from the first part of the game. Now with (nearly?) all AI art sized st 4k resolution. About 1/3 of the CG gallery are new lewd scenes not seen before.

i like the game, AI cg don't really bother me as much as long as they are good, what's bother me is they keeps remake their game instead of finishing it, just throw some "new content" here and there that people don't really care about and call it a day. summer times saga did this too. I don't see this game gonna get any real new content anytime soon, maybe 3 years if things go well ? we legit only get 1 s3x scene with Sara and it was in last update and she is the face of the menu. I play the game with both hands instead of one, that alone can tell how uninterested i am at the "new content", not that it looks bad

I think you don't understand... Doing the redux seasons is Uberpie finishing the game --- season by season. Season 1 Redux is the first retail offering. The intent was stated that, if all goes well, then next is Seasons 2, 3, and so on.
Similar question was brought up 3 days ago, here is my response:
I agree that there was too little / wrongly focused lewd content in Season 1 Redux. But Uberpie wanted to offer a Season 1 on Steam for people to get introduced to the game... Just like people were introduced to it here back in 2018-2019 (the year where most of this content for Season 1 Redux comes from) and then a few new scenes for those familiar with the game.
You're looking at this from a player who is familiar with the content, not consumers who have never played this before.
