Hello everyone,
Unfortunately, the game's support coder and I have been feeling particularly unwell for the past time, which unfortunately means we are unlikely to have the update released this month.
We're still working as much as we can on the update, but it is a difficult time for the team, especially as I have spent the last week bedridden.
We'd like to thank everyone for their patience, and we hope we can find a way to make-up with the update for the delay.
We will try to keep you updated on how things are going.

Times like this, I wonder why people don't just to move to an update-based subscription (Patrons pay per update rather than per month) to avoid these kinds of accusations and conversations.

That would just encourage subpar updates.

Yea but at least you can calibrate your contribution for the quality of the update. Monthly you can essentially pay while getting nothing for some time.

When a dev says that an update is coming out in late december, you better believe that it will come in early january.

Yeah, that art he showed in the delay announcement was off compared to what we usually see. Most of the time the art looks good, even if it's traced from other sources.

It's Taffy Tales, tied for my favorite game, with content and art so good it made me actually give money a few times instead of just putting on the old eye patch and cutlass and being a proper pirate. Probably 4 of every 5 updates being good to great.

As long as the artist doesn't die, and don't you let them die we can steal a vaccine shot if we need to , or I guess the rest of the staff either , just get the update out when you can.

People that complain can go play any of the 90% of games here that are just shit with the same renders.

Seconded. I honestly think that the art was subpar in that single image. The style isn't what it usually is, and the face/body just looks off and the angle is just... Not great..


Hope they will get well soon, and that maybe they could do a onceover of the art, just to make sure that the quality doesn't suffer due to rushing it through while they are sick.
