I have quite a few years of design - theatrical and graphic - under my belt, too.
I am in agreement with nearly your entire post about expectations and the use of AI as a tool.
I also agree with your assessment of Uberpie's work ethic and lack of followup.
While his art was enjoyable, you should be aware that he had quite a few scenes in the early versions to have been digitally traced from other artists work with only slight modifications. Also, since you are an artist, you cannot deny his difficulty in remaining on model by hand. And so that is where I part ways with your comment. That's all.
dunno, but on the day S1 Redux was planned to be released, the head writer left the dev team to choose "to be happy."

Still, I hope you realize the difference between ai-generated art and using ai to help the artist in creating their art. I do. I use it do some job faster, but as long as I can draw or paint it myself, I can always fix whatever is wrong. Four fingers at the feet are not about using it as "just a tool".

I agree and have commented many times on Uberpie's laziness with not being more attentive using AI, as well as his lack of revision and cleanup.

This already is a lazy remaster in terms of quality control, but they couldn't even bother doing a remaster of all it or even close to most of what was already out there after a year plus
All this AI shit is terrible, Ubur wasn't Picasso or anything, however he had a unique and attractive style. Everything now or at least 90% of it is AI generated and removes all the old charm this game had. At most, it should only be backgrounds that could use AI inclusion, even then that's a stretch
I knew this game went down in the shitter a while ago, however it did have quite some promise a few years back so it is unfortunate to see it just become a milking project
I noticed that the skip dialogue key would stop working if you saved mid scene, you'd have to wait until it's over before being able to use it again
And good for Traven, he's one of the good ones and is gonna do better work for sure outside of Taffy Tales
Well, it's not serious, again 3 years of the old version only play in the new picture? In short, I'm disappointed in the developer
So for those confused about what this is. They essentially remade the entire "season 1" in unity with brand new assets, UI, dialogue, artwork, etc...
The artwork and other various assets were all clearly redone with AI, as someone who doesn't have a autistic panic attack the second I see AI art.....its done reasonably well and in some cases is a decent improvement over previous artwork in terms of sharpness and clarity. Sometimes its a bit noticeable but it should not be the reason people should be upset with this game.
A full year to do a rework of 1 patch worth of content that nobody asked is the real reason to be upset.
Dont get me a wrong, the UI and general structure of the game looks significantly better, the background art the extra's all look great, but this should not have taken a full year. Its still just based in Unity....
Stop doing fuck shit with your game and just put out content that people want.stop splitting the game up into a million different versions for "seasons" or for the various fetishes that people do or dont want to see. make one fucking game.

Problem with Ai is not that it is a bad artist, its inconsistent.
Characters look different from scene to scene, like seriously different.
Not to mention uberpie forgot to fucking check fingers, a place were most ai do a sloppy job.
Can some one help I'm stuck inside Becca house can only speak with Sara, go the bathroom and Becca room but can´t interact with anyhing else and cant leave either.
