Wow, I'm not sure exactly how this fits into the story, or what it's about in general, but I'm really happy to see again something about the game appearing on Steam:

Some big news today. It took a lot of work and frankly, a bit of luck, but we've managed to get a Steam page live for Taffy Tales Redux: The Morning After (our title for Season 2).

As many of you know, getting onto Steam has been a major goal and a huge challenge for us. To be frank, the success of this launch could define the future of the project.

To be honest, we're pretty nervous about how it will go, given our past experiences. We don't know what will happen, but we're committed to moving forward and taking every opportunity we can get.

Context:
In short, v0.89.8 and v1.07.3 (Seasons 1-4 and Season 5) were all released before Uberpie was kicked off patreon and he had mentioned previously that he planned to break up all the content into standalone seasons.
Then in march 2024, Patreon kicked him off.
Season 1 Redux came out on itch shortly after the start of 2025 as the beginning of breaking up the content and with some new content added.
Then in the middle of 2025, itch delisted all nsfw games to review them all for violations of rules.
Uberpie then removed all content he thought would violate the rules while offering an official patch on his subscribestar to put all the content back in.
Uberpie is also currently back on Patreon.

No. It's called SEASON 1 Redux. If it had all of the previous content it wouldn't be called just SEASON 1 Redux, would it? It's whatever the developer called JUST SEASON 1, with a little new content added.

Also, as quoted on the previous page #37,587:

Great question. It all depends upon what you want to do.

Do you want to play a version with a lot of content? Go play v0.89.8 "Seasons 1-4" and then v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- these are both the "in development" versions, not "finished" retail.

If you strictly want a netorare playthrough, play the short completely optional and separate netorare route in v1.07.3 "Season 5" <-- this is the "in development" version, not "finished" retail.

Do you want to see 4k images and video with some additional content added of the first 20% or so of the game, all of it in AI generated art? Play Season 1 Redux. <-- this is the "finished" retail version, nothing more will be added to it. Further Season Redux versions will be separate downloads in the future.

Because of itch's rules, Redux has violating content removed. It is unpatched. If you want the content, download the official patch and install it within the Redux. See instructions in the installation spoiler.

Why does this read as if it has nothing to do with the actual 1.1.55 update and everything to do with "soon to cum".
