The Kinsey scale relates to a theory of sexual fluidity, not to a specific survey/poll, I do get a little triggered when people cite things like "most people", "everyone" and "normal" without data to back it up, it wasn't all about the trigger though, I'd genuinely be interested in seeing the results of a respectible study regarding sexual bias, seems like one should be viable now we have a better expectation of privacy and less pressure to follow conservative lifestyles. Just a matter of figuring out who might be unbiased enough to conduct an honest one without trying to push an agenda.

I suspect the effect of porn on todays society (both in availablity and variety), will mean the number of "very straight" people may be fewer than many might think, though they are probably still among the loudest (along with people from the other extreme).

My "gay" remark was poorly phrased, it read as more glib than I intended (I am curious about what labels are pinned on those of us who live in the grey space between the extremes).

I tried the unwatch/watch you suggested, fingers crossed (y)

While the Kinsey Scale opened up the minds of society toward a range of sexualities, not just Hetero-, Bi-, Homo- ... a major problem with it is self-report bias due to social desirability, social conditioning, pleasure denial, lack of diverse sexual experience opportunities, and other factors. This is hinted when you look at the original study when less than 10% of the males stated they were strictly gay, but over 1 in 3 stated they had experienced orgasm in what would be considered gay sexual situations. Again - this is self reporting and so there is an automatic understanding of bias that sociologists always attempt to account for. We have seen similar bias in other polls in the past decade of a different, but as volatile, nature as sexuality.

We can see that when people think "no one is watching" and as people become aware of new sexual concepts that more fluidity becomes apparent in a person's sexuality. The latest Pornhub stats show that "group sex" and transgender categories were both Top-10 search categories for 2021.

Yeah if the dev plans to do the game that way it does give flexibility and choices that would actually cater to all routes easily. I just hope its as simple as a single prompt wether you want this girl or not ( like the danny prompt) and not too overcomplicated like the other harem VNs where they have this "point" tracking. Then forcing me to rely on walkthroughs or walkthrough mod to avoid making wrong choices.

Yeah, it almost always sucks when points are used, they are rarely more than a smoke screen for a linear system,
ie
  • Did you do it exactly as the writer predicted, No.... Then I shall punish you by denying you scenes.
A good game should let you make "wrong" choices and still have the wiggle room to recover and acheive your goals. or atleast give you good information what choices you are making.

I'm not entire sure what "danny prompt" you are talking about I've not played the game in a while and don't plan to until the next update.
I think a two pronged method would be best,

  1. Something near the event that makes it clear what you are choosing, sooo many games try to be subtle about this and screw up because something gets lost in translation.
    (I've lost count of the number of times I've picked say, the "cheeky" option, just to later find out it was actually the "I'm a little bitch, please cuck me" option o_O )

    and

  2. a check box in the main menu [x] Turn off NTR (for the Anti-NTR zealots)
    (this will cause all NTR options to be autoselected, because screw those guys :p (only joking ..... I think))

Yeah having an option like that would totally make the game a whole lot easy for Non-NTR fans however i would like to have see which girls are available before i decide it. As for the Danny prompt in the game you are given the option to choose wether to go along a Danny route or not based from the picture in his room if i remember correctly. Now I imagine the game would be having more options like those for every single girls (or boys) so we cn decide who to keep and who to ignore. Its presented with a warning as well what the choice would imply Peter would be doing. So in my opinion that simple choice makes it easier for me than the one you mentioned they presented in other VN. I mean some game works but this game would not considering you already have to grind your way to buy stuff or search for these girls at appropriate time or finding scattered items to advance the route.

Ok I remember the Danny prompt you are talking about now, and I tend to disagree with that kind of carte blanche blocking (It's fine for major fetish routes, but a main/preferences menu check box would work better and wouldn't rely on people not accidently clicking though text).

Red and Blue are both incomplete opposing forces, pure Red might not allow it, but count how many times Blue has dictated their actions, and how long it is taking for Red traits to gradually bleed through to the dominant consciousness.
