*apologies, i've gone on a much longer rant than intended. It is just a rant on what I think the broader problems are and how to fix it. If you're not interested just skip to the next message*
I never thought there would come a time when I was seriously considering not downloading an update of this game. Alas, here we are.
I know not, what the original plan for the game was, in terms of how the plot was meant to progress. However, I doubt it was this. At the moment I fear the future of this game is not good, though the only way to find out will be in 8-9 months time when the next update drops.
I get the Uber likes NTR, I get that he wanted a game with that in it. I get that an active part of the fan base tried to dissuade him from producing such content. the issue is, in trying to keep people happy (his non NTR fans and himself) he has produced what appears to be agreed upon as a cack update.
My bigger worry is that this will not simply set the benchmark for the future. 2 distinct games, simply means two plots to update every time. Those that dislike NTR probably outweigh those that like it amongst his paying backers. Waiting 16 months for an update you like is unlikely to encourage payment. In the rush to get 2 updates out wat appears, from reviews, to have been made is badly enacted game where one of the main attractions, the artwork, has been lost.
There are, as I see it, three key strengths to the game. Firstly, was the original non AI artwork. Secondly was the dynamic of the main character and Red which was a pretty unique (in the porn game world) story point. The final one is Lostraven's ability to bring it all to life.
If this game is going to keep backers long enough to get finished Uber, to my mind needs to do one of two things. He can either:
1) Accept that at the early stage he sold out. Its not a criticism. I think most people will get why he did; but he sold out the NTR storyline to keep backers and make, what is now, a lot of money. Trying to go back and shoe horn together a story line or develop two games at the same time is not going to win anyone over.
2) Actually tell one single story, that is compelling has all the features that people like and incorporates NTR. To be fair, it is not even a difficult story to put together. The storyboard will go something like this:
a) MC is a weed, the "bad character (so far Darnell but I haven't played) is banging blonde haired girl from school
b) Darnell makes a move on, and manages to add sister to harem
c) Accident happens Red is created
d) Darnell move on Becca. Red offers to take over to stop. MC declines on basis Becca not going to do it.
e) Darnell land Becca, but not fully corrupt her.
f) Darnell makes move on MC mother, this time MC gives into Red to stop.
g) Red go too far, MC lands his own mother, appalled but gets taste for it
h) MC goes on to bang and fully corrupt Becca, and then goes on to get everyone else in town
i) Game conclude with full harem and banging Darnell mother and sister in front of him.
All of the other story elements, about MC's father, why it is that Red is created, organisations etc can be fitted around the above storyline. Brings in the NTR, in a way that fits a complete storyline, can resurface at various points depending on how you want to develop the plot and is probably palatable to the more anti-NTR crowd. Does not do away with the "Red" character, which is a key dynamic that most people like. Lets you work on one single story line.
In either version he needs to retain Lostraven to help write it all. He needs to get back to doing more of the artwork, certainly for the sex scenes where it matters, the rest can be AI filler to speed up progress. He also needs to stick to a story line and go with it. At the moment it feels like what happens is, after every update, he then sits down and tries to figure out the next part of the story with little to no idea about how it fits together.
If there was an over arching story, there would be no need to keep re-working the start to the extent it has been.
