It was never "monthly" after being posted to F95 (though two holiday special updates might have made people feel it as such) - but yes, it was quicker in the beginning when there was little content, little storyline... it's almost as if the more content you add it means you have more work to do to continue that content.
Normal updates were 2-4 months. "Mega" updates were 6 months or longer. Yes - twice Uberpie has stated he is going to get away from "mega" updates after his first foray into a 7 month time span - looking to get back to 4 months or less per update. Only to have the next updates be large and long in size and time in development. It is what it is. I play for free. If you are a subscriber - you can stop at any time if you feel you are being used. It's your choice. I choose not to pay anything.
Again, people don't need to lie or hyperbolize to get their feelings across - simply use the actual facts and information.
