Overview:

Do they even make VNs anymore?

It has been ages since I saw a new work from them. It seems they put all their ressources into their gacha game or never ending RPGM game. Kinda a bummer ngl.

The financial incentive just isn't there. A VN takes a lot of time and money and then only X amount of people buy it. A short scene for the gacha titles is way cheaper and people throw obscene amounts of money at those games. And instead of having these random spikes of income whenever you manage to publish a full title, you have relatively consistent baseline income. I don't have high hopes for them to return to their roots.

Sure it's a gacha game. People always throw their money at it. But with the shitload of money they make they could occasionally make a new VN. Dunno how context heavy and story driven their gacha games are but I doubt much thought is going into it.

I fondly remember the ones from Black Lilith. "Ochiro Hitozuma" was goated for example.
Anyway I agree that they won't return to their roots. It would have already happened by now if they were serious about it.

A shame really.
