For some of us, the reluctant bottom thing is part of the appeal. We're subs at heart, but we like a little bit of resistance.

If Hiro was just super into it every single time, that would take a MASSIVE part of the fun/erotic-ness out of it for me, and I know I'm not alone.

Besides, that's already a thing for a ton of encounters. As Hiro gets sluttier, the dialogue and scenes change to reflect that in many cases, and the enemies will treat you differently.

Being that you seem to be more into top stuff, I can understand if this perspective doesn't make sense, but it is a common one.

Yea, for sure, I get that, it's kinda like the Tsundere fetish. Honestly I probably wouldn't mind it if the writing weren't so contrived and overwrought at points; I'm not the type of person who self-inserts and projects into works of fiction, but damn it's hard to get into sometimes, it's like reading a fucking medical journal. I had my writing torn apart my teachers until I got better growing up so it's hard to see writing by people who think they're good at it because they use a thesaurus. And like I also said earlier, I probably wouldn't complain if there were more CGs for the top scenes. Hell I might even be willing to throw some bones their way at that point.

On the contrary, while I do love the options of being a reluctant bottom, I do believe there should be a choice. Consider the fact that there's options to purposefully submit yourself to your opponent. You've even got abilities that let you play as a power-bottom thanks to actions such as sitting on their cocks while they're knocked down, planting your phat ass on their face, etc. A problem I see is that it's sometimes inconsistent. Even when you're willing to give yourself over, Hiro often still stutters.

As the game continues development I can definitely see more avenues of choice opening up as the devs have clearly put these options, plus more (including being a top), into the game but currently are either limited or don't really lead anywhere.

I enjoy playing with reluctance as Hiro during the start of the game, but as I continue forward I would also like to see him fall into the pit of debauchery!

Yea, that was part of my point as well, maybe I didn't get it across as clearly. There's this illusion of choice in the combat and some of the dialogue before you make selections, but at the end of the day Hiro ends up as a reluctant sub no matter what you do. That's more annoying than anything. I would prefer there was no illusion of choice in the first place if that's the case, and play it like the static VN it pretty much ends up being in terms of Hiro's personality anyway.

Choice is always a good thing.

I still don't get why Hiro (Trudy too) is always shocked when people think he's not a man. I mean did he take a look in the mirror that morning? He's clearly not dressed as a male (most classes) and she wears his hair in pigtails. A person wouldn't dress and present themselves this way unless they clearly wanted to be recognized as female.

We need an official back story for Hiro. Maybe if they had an option to start him off as an actual male and the game had a slow transformation aspect added to it that could make things more interesting. At least it would explain why he thinks of himself as male or if that is not possible then rewrite the dialogue and take out those parts.

Honestly this game could be nothing but scenes of Urka fucking Hiro and i'd still be very happy with it ... But i do appreciate the sheer variety of sexual escapades you can get up to and the wide variety of partners.

It might diverge a bit from that in the free play mode. So he identifies as male and feels that he is presenting as such, based on what he knows.

Interesting I should probably give the story mode another go then. I honestly can't even remember the last time I played it.

Still, that explanation makes no sense at least to me and I usually am not one to get hung up on "realism" in a game. No biggie.

If you meant my "explanation" that I just deleted then, yeah, heh, I didn't realise there was lore in the story mode that gave reason as to why Hiro looks and dresses like that; so I just went full armchair theorist mode, haha. Perhaps what @yoyomistro read is that this feminine fashion trend is what Lowlander males like Hiro follow?

I haven't done story mode yet since people here say it's still barebones. So I'll just wait 'till they flesh it out more. I want to go through Hiro's entire story to its fullest.

Hope you like it. Just click on my sig it's a mega link to the modded .jar file.

After it downloads just replace it with the one in the TOA folder but back it up first if you decide you want to go back to the original art. You can switch between the mod and the original art as often as you like. It will not affect saves or progress of any kind.

Had some free time and with not much new artwork in the game, I went and revisited Hiro and the different classes. Some are close to stock (why mess with what works), some have very slight differences, and some I made quite a few changes. Hope you like them and they will be in the next release of the mod if not already (proportions are slightly off as I was trying to be fancy in the game they are as expected).
