  • It's easy to forget you have "Cheat Mode" on, and "corrupt" a playthrough with it. Save files don't even record whether cheating was employed or not.
true, luckly its very simple to turn of if you would like
  • The first time you reach the outpost, you have to select "Take a carriage", or you won't be able to reach it by carriage later. You don't have to select "Yes" on the next menu and actually take the carriage, but if you don't, you have to go back and fight one of the guardians again if you want to continue to the third map.
no
  • You can only reach the outpost from the second map. When you pass from the third to the second, you land on the outpost without being able to directly enter it.
move to another node, turn down encounter, then back
  • The general linear, railroaded nature of "Story Mode" (at least when I last played it); reducing the game to point assignments and battle tactics, and being so difficult that you're basically forced to find one optimal set and stick to it.
no
  • Why was "The Indestructible" added? By the time you've ground enough to afford it, you're way past needing it.
no
  • Isn't there any way to bypass having to load over a gigabyte of assets into memory? Loading low-res versions first (except for text) and hi-res ones gradually, maybe?
i wonder what that preload option does

Brothel Madame, elf lady, the shopkeep or whatever in the human town, the mermaid...

Females exist in this universe. But futas are better.
Hmm... I do not think it has been actually established whether the shopkeeper is a futa or not... I do not believe there are any sex scenes with her. Also, it is a matter of debate whether the mermaid and Selkie the female goblin should be considered futas or not - both possess phallic organs, but in both cases, those are used for oviposition rather then for insemination. It has been hinted as well that the wasp woman fertilizes her eggs with the sperm she previously collected from her "mates" rather then her own, but the gender or species of those "mates" were never established (so, it is unclear whether the wasp-women are actually hermaphroditic or if there are also "drone-men" in their species).

  • Why was "The Indestructible" added? By the time you've ground enough to afford it, you're way past needing it.
With right stats, you can steal it even if you cannot afford to pay for it.

I was considering subbing to the devs patreon but it says it charges you for every post??? Wouldn't that be a lot of money?

It does indeed say that, which is confusing because that's definitely not how it should work. Does anyone else know what the hell is going on with that or can offer clarification? That's honestly the first Patreon creator I've ever seen to claim that kind of payment arrangement. I was under the impression that Patreon, not the creators, handle when and how often someone is actually charged.

As I remember when I was still a backer, he is correct in the sense that the 5 dollar tier for example will not cost him 5 dollars at the months end like many creators do it. It will cost 5 dollars times the amount of chapters or game updates they feel are substantial. So lets say there are 4 game updates/chapters/art posts in all the updates they do that they feel like deserve money, not every single post, youd pay 20 bucks total at the end of the month. This also took me by surprise back then. I have no idea if it was changed since then but since he is referring to PER PICTURE OR CHAPTER, OR GAME UPDATE, I assume it hasnt.
ok well thats a no go then lol. No way am I paying that much for the amount of content that is offered. Good game but if they do one small update a week thats a least 20 a month.

That is not how it works. This was already explained here, by the developer themselves. Search the thread for more info.
Checked it, correct, it seems you can now set a limit. This was not the case when I backed the game and it did work like that back then.

Deleted my initial post so that people dont get misled.

so what if you set a limit you only get that number of posts out of however many are posted?
As they explained it, the pay per update model is a precursor from the time when the patreon account was used for thier art and stories mainly and it isnt easily possible to switch it now. You can say you want to pay 5 dollars max for the 5 dollar tier but they enabled that you would still see all the content of the 5 dollar tier. You just have to actually select it when making the pledge.

Edit: One of the times adressed if you want to read it yourself. Sorry, it has been some time since I was a backer, didnt know it was actually changed, makes it way better though.

As I've said numerous times, this is false: see the attached image. You can set a monthly maximum on Patreon pledges to a Per Update creator, and that does not have any effect on Patreon's functionality. Anyone in the Bunny Tier sees all Bunny Tier posts, which is all you need to access the weekly builds. We only use it for determining how many votes someone gets in the patron surveys.

The only reason we are a per update Patreon is that our Patreon was originally for our art and stories, not for ToA. We had the Patreon for over a year before ToA began development. At the time, we posted art for free to hentai foundry once or twice a month, so we made it a per-update Patreon so people could incentivize us to post more often if they wanted to. Based on that support, we started to post four guaranteed updates a month, split between art and stories, and we've continued that since then. When ToA started development, only one of those four updates were ToA-related; now all of our work is put into ToA.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

For clarity I usually choose to not upload the first monthly build whenever it comes up as it's just an accumulation of the last month's build put into one update for Patreon $3 Patrons, with no new content (sometimes bugfixes). I see a lot of people always asking for it whenever it comes up so I assume you guys must not know.

And when the start of a new Month falls on a weekend, there usually isn't another update till next week.

I wish we could access logs from decision screens.

Maybe it's nondeterministic or hardware-specific somehow. Not going to record and upload a video when I can just make sure to choose the carriage option in the future.

How do I "turn down" an encounter?

How enlightening.

i wonder what that preload option does
I wonder the same. It drags on so long that it's hard to believe even a gigabyte of data accounts for it. Windows prompts me sometimes about whether I want to close the unresponsive program. If the loading can't be moved to the background, maybe a progress bar would help?

That doesn't bypass an encounter; it just fast-forwards through the text. You still have to fight or take dick as applicable. The Jester is the easiest to get through, if you have a stat that can pass one of her games; but going out and back still costs food, which is likely to be short returning from the third map.
