If you can't figure out something explained dozens of times that is incredibly easy, (replace the .jar...) just download the windows build and play that.

If only there was something in the OP that could help you and your ilk with your problems, but alas, there's no "installation" section there or yellow text pointing out to it.

You can reset it by either deleting profile.json or editing the enemyKnowledge, events and animatedCgSeen sections of it if you want to retain your achievements and unlocked clothes.
The fastest and easiest way to find your profile.json is the ingame save menu, upper right corner of it has a button that will take you to the appdata folder of ToA.

You can try to fight her but that 6k damage she puts out while you do not even tickle her really should put it into perspective that you cannot beat her in a fight.
You have to pass skill checks.

I reached the rock of the middle but it always sends me back when i try to go further.
