Yeah. I'm just comparing their monthly income with the changelog. When seeing the changelog its just not justifying 20.000$ - or whatever they make monthly. They can easily hire artists and animators with that amount of money and speed up the process dramatically. Just as I said, I guess they just want to stretch the development time as long as possible at this point.
Not hating on the game, just on the management
I've never really understood this logic. They're pulling in however much money because what they produce is enjoyed by enough people who see value in it to pledge that money.
Where does this idea that just because someone is making something that becomes popular, they suddenly have to start producing more than before, or otherwise change what they're doing that got them that many pledges? What are they supposed to do? Start doing more than they're comfortable with? Maybe implement some kind of restriction so that people can stop giving them money because of some arbitrary value placed on their work by other people?
What is the maximum amount of money
you think they should be getting from Patrons each month for the amount of work they're currently producing? How much more do you think they need to do in order to "justify" (as if it even needs justification) the amount of money they're currently receiving?
I don't think there's a single business model or donation system on the planet that has this same kind of criticism attached to it. Nobody is out there telling Microsoft that they make too much money just reselling software and releasing updates for it every few months. After all, the work is already done, they're just "milking it" for everything they can get by charging you to download it, right? It's a really weird way to look at things.
I enjoy the game quite a bit and I would've supported it on Patreon if not for their "per creation" pricing - that's basically like giving someone an authorization to charge my credit card whenever they want which is not something I am particularly comfortable with. Also, I would prefer the devs to focus a bit more on adding art to already existing sex scenes since many of them are just text rn.
I also share this criticism though. Not the part about the patreon tiers, but the existing content. I know that they do polls asking about which scenes to do next and such, but with the new area being added and new enemies/characters in the works, it leaves things feeling super unfinished as you play through the game. Some of these enemies and characters have been in the game for a very long time and still have only a scene or two compared to others. The Drow, for instance... who has been in the game for quite a while I believe, yet her only actual scene involves the cat...
I kind of wish they would focus more on back-filling content before moving on to new characters and new places and new scenarios.
