where is jester encounter in story mode? nothing in the end of the map or i should start a new game because i load an old saves?

It's close to the fortress at the end of the first area. You may have to start a new story mode game if it doesn't show up.

JNI error means you are starting the game with the .jar instead of the .exe and (if you have Java installed) it is the wrong version.
If double-clicking the .exe and nothing happens. Either you don't have the .jar in the right folder or the .jar doesn't have the right name.

I've always really wanted to like this game, but every time I try it, I end up hitting a brick wall and losing to fights over and over. Obviously you're supposed to lose sometimes, given it often doesn't lead to a game over and can also lead to an H-scene; but what I mean is that, whenever I've won, it's struck me as a complete fluke.

Yes. I one of the screens, I believe the one under pervert gives you a tutorial.

did a fresh install, followed the instructions, got a black screen with main menu music. replaced .jar with the fresh hotfix version, same problem. went back to v0.3.27.0 and now that has the same issue. i swear i had this problem before, and even used search like a good little guy. i just don't know what to do now.

I made a new story mode file on the newest version and didn't encounter the jester at all. Not exactly sure how to get this unlocked.

Isn't that the point of a forum? To discuss things? He was asking something relevant to the game, albeit a very niche use case problem. You can't just put someone in the dirt and then tell them "I can show you how to do it but maybe you should be smarter next time" without even providing that information you purport to provide. You look quite comical to me right now.
