ToA's system is not complex. You basically use three stances, and you can have the same style of gameplay on every class besides the Mage. So it's a pretty flexible forgiving system. It could be worked on from some points, yes, especially on magic becoming usable (it was actually nerfed instead with Paralyze and elemental damage losing potential to be good). But its main problem is just a chaotic presentation of its concept.

You can always turn on the cheat mode when playing Story Mode. You won't be able to get a Game Over then. And you won't miss almost any content. Most of action happens after defeat, the enemy that you need to defeat to have more fun is probably a Brigans in the mountains.

Will that make you happy and your game casual and relaxing? Please, do it.

I disagree, the cheat system is basically a difficulty setting. Wanna have fun exploring the combat system with different enemies? Then don't use cheats. Wanna breeze through it mindlessly like you are asking for? Then turn on cheats, you can even edit your save to give yourself the stats you want, and there's even some cheese strats like oil + flame spells that people use. Seems weird for you complain about the difficulty when there's ways around that and then say that said ways are also wrong with the game.

Main character is basically a chick with a dick because of how they are drawn (Wide hips, big ass, feminine face). Even if he refers to himself as a he it's obviously a female/futa being depicted. So yeah, consider it futa and not gay. But no tits.

Also I think there is a way to make your character full female. But it's through a quest later on. I haven't tried it yet, but I've read some about it.
