Or can you post an error log that the game generates into the saves folder?
i download latest java version and put it in main game folder as always

Most of my favorite scenes are in story mode. I think the scenes and the flow work really well under a heavier structure like that even if adventure mode allows for a greater volume.
The Cait deflowering scene in the inn if you spur her initial advances and she takes it as an indication that Hiro wants an emotional connection rather than just sex is the most romantic thing in the game. It's so intense and sweet in stark contrast to a lot of the adventure mode scenes which are either focused on how humiliated Hiro is by losing and getting buggered or how slutty he feels, and while those can be good too it does tend to run together. Story mode offers something very different.

I am full in on the theory of Cutscene Power, Hype Moment & Aura Farming Dark Knight, that even if she goes all out she's still gonna get beaten given we can No-Damage her. When we get her promised 'full-power' zone fight we're gonna see her real skill and find out just how much she has to hold back.

I just wanna top her senseless
from my experience, haven't touched story mode in a while
story mode is way more linear and text heavy, while also being noticeable harder with a lot of stuff leading straight to bad end. So as a result to play it you either retrace the same steps, the same turns over and over again skipping walls of text on the introduction part and hoping to this time win this fight you lost previously, or you savescum every single turn.
Meanwhile adventure mode that kicks you right in onto a somewhat randomized map to find your own way like a 'rouge-lite' would is also way more forgiving

Still think it's fucked up that this is what Hiro says to Brigand, to try and fool her. BRO SHE'S A BANDIT, NOT A PIRATE, WE GET THAT HIGHLANDERS ARE KNOWN FOR SAILING BUT COME ON THIS WAS JUST IN BAD TASTE!
I wish the Cant mechanic was actually implemented, but we haven't had much of any Brigand stuff in a long time. Guess she's reached the end-point of her content, especially as we haven't had her in the surveys at all since... I dunno, the Brigand Irruamtio Animated option? That was over a year ago iirc, which means either she's not getting anything else priority voted or she's just going to be finished after her Cant option is completed & her Weak Variant OST is done.
I get that she's not meant to be a unique character, even in Story Mode she appears 4 times and none of those encounters are connected so she's still not a narrative element (unless we get her Strong Variant fight as a rematch
