Anniversary!
Congratulations, guys. Five years, three more years and I'll create my very own “Starfield”, with a thousand generated locations in the middle of the woods.
Just kidding.
Before I started writing this post, I decided to go outside. Yes, sometimes I do such heroic deeds.
And I didn't just go outside, I walked around the city, to many of the old places I had observed since my early childhood. Somewhere new roads are being laid, somewhere a fountain is being restored, here and there beautiful benches and swings have been installed surrounded by lampposts, and somewhere you can come across unusual installations, the meaning of which few people can understand.
In recent years, the same dreary poor city from my childhood, which I associated with ruin and incessant autumn, is finally getting better and more colorful.
What's my point? Watching these changes is inspiring. It makes me want to push myself even harder to keep up. Not only to improve my writing or drawing skills, but also to work on my own inner world and broaden my horizons.
Needless to say, I've even started streaming to combat some of my problems. Today, by the way, I'll be streaming “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” in honor of this festive occasion. You can congratulate me on the anniversary live, and I'll drink wine for it.
Regarding the project (wow, I remembered): I feel more confident and many things are easier for me. Illustrations look better and better, text sounds better and better, I come up with less and less stupid solutions in program code. I have a better understanding of what I want to do, I just have to do it.
We are now approaching a very interesting part of the game, and I want to finish the Episode Five as soon as possible and start not even the Episode Six, but Episode 5.5 (interlude), where you will meet an extremely important character.
Work is ongoing, the project is expanding, and no matter how much my hometown or “Baldur's Gate 3” inspires me, no matter how external circumstances push me out of my comfort zone, the most important reason for my presence here and self-development is you. Your compliments, bug reports, questions (especially about how to close the android menu), monetary support, fan art, even your online presence in discord. All of this keeps me on fire, wanting not just to keep going, but to make the game as good as I can. Only thanks to you I will be able to do it. Please accept my gratitude.
p.s. I will be releasing another small update very soon, where I will allow players who choose to destroy the gift to meet a boy in the woods by the pond. so stay tuned.
p.p.s. did I really write a "boy"? I meant a twenty-five-year-old guy.
p.p.p.s. and why am I making excuses? I didn't say what they would do in the pond.
