The gaming industry is fucked and as much as I wanna blame AAAs alone there's another toxic, cancerous growth in the system and that's the existence of crowdfunded indefinite development cycles without deadlines, commitment or consequences. This barely has content and it has been around for half a decade now, the art even looks like it's stolen DeviantArt base poses.
Real games and fanbases have been born from nothing and died in the same timeframe.
Cult of Lamb was developed by 5 people in 3 years.
Ultrakill has been in development for 5 years and some change by a single programmer doing 90% of the work.
Axiom Verge took 5 years to make from scratch in MonoGame without premade assets and it has a sequel.
I'unno. I should look into game development and lead people with a carrot on a stick too I guess.
