It's extra content for people who want to support us. We've had them on Itch for ages.

I understand your point, just for me as potential customer your game is not competitively priced. Other NSFW games with much more production budget and content costs less. If you compare amount of work put into something like Ravager, Come Home or Vae Victis - Khan and your game it makes no sense to have same price tag.
One of reviewers on Steam mentioned that there is just 6 H scenes in "final" version to prove my point.
There are at least one story DLC and paid cosmetics too, which is MTX and not cool. If you sell base game lacking some in-game content there is always a temptation to just get complete version for free, instead of being legit customer with incomplete one.

Ravager has been on Steam since 2021, and it's priced at $19.50 while ToLLA is $12. Ravager also had a huge amount of support and financial success even early on, ToLLA has not. You can blame the market for that. I personally don't, it is what it is.

Vae Victis is an awesome game and I'm on great terms with Doorknob, but again, you're mixing apples and oranges.

ToLLA has about 15h of content. It's an interactive storybook. That's what the game is about. Pricing it at $12 is more than fair, given how much work we've sunk into it, and the fact you get ~15h of entertainment from it. If you don't like that type of content (long reading + static lewds) that's OK, no one's gonna force you to pay money for something you don't want.

I mean if it's such a big deal to you, I can send you a ToLLA Steam key via DM. I don't know you, maybe you're a struggling student and that $5 difference is a lot to you. I'm not judging, I'm just saying that there's a break even point for us to keep working on ToLLA, and even the current $12 price is pretty close to it.

Thanks for the offer, it's very generous of you, but I shared my honest thoughts just because I want your game to succeed. If it's not competitively priced people won't even give it a chance. I'm gladly support devs that set fair prices for their games and bought many games that was at risk of ban when MasterCard/Visa controversy happened.

Problems? No. We can update the game just fine and deploy bugfixes. But we're not allowed to add new NSFW content to it. Gotta do it thru DLCs now. Seems to be Valve's new policy to placate the payment processors. Older games aren't affected by this I think. I've spoken to other devs and many of them have had their Early Access denied, which used to be very rare before this summer.

Collective Shout fucked us all pretty bad.

Can't you just update the game outside of steam like making a website with a patch link kind of how kagura translated games do it make the game sfw then adding a patch on your own website or Patreon and then let it overwrite it

This is basically a piracy website and you seem to be pretty cool about it and interacting with us on this website and I really like this game not just because of porn but because of how much content and freedom there is in your game so as much as I want to financially support you, I live in a country where foreign currency is access is really limited and I really want to see what becomes of this project

Can't you just update the game outside of steam like making a website with a patch link kind of how kagura translated games do it make the game sfw then adding a patch on your own website or Patreon and then let it overwrite it

People will get pissed off if we do that. Not everyone knows about off-Steam patches, nor do people read announcements for the most part. We've already got a bunch of negative reviews from players who bought the game and refuse to read the text/story, then say there's no content... or those thinking there's combat, even tho it's not mentioned on the Steam page. We even said the major expansion DLC will be free, but we're getting grilled in reviews for "paywalling content". The last thing we need is more negative reviews about off-site NSFW content.
