just a guess and usually what these things boil down to is, payment processors. mastercard, visa etc.. you need these guys to make money from your customers, and if your patreon users are doing shit that in turn would implicate the payment processors and make them look bad, then one of two things happens. you get rid of that user, or you could lose your ability to make money period.
