1) Already banned off many platforms, this one is pretty obviously a fast track to get kicked off most platforms.
2) If its anthropomorphic its fine (centaurs instead of horses etc.).
3) Depends, generally the biggest issue is not obtaining permission from the IP holder and getting a take down from said owner. Best avoided on any monetized game.

If you partnered with a porn production company then your games would get access to porn sites rather than relying on patreon/steam etc. Desktop stripper games for example have been around for eons and predate porn game sites. There are several softcore 'dating' games that use real footage, but like I said, if you are looking to monetize rather than release for free then avoid it. Also if you are in a position to film your own footage then OF is going to make much, much more money than a game would.

I think the biggest problem is that once you go to some of these darker things you get kicked off the more accepted platforms and you have to go to places like SubscribeStar. Once you go there, I've heard artists say the amount of money they can make drops off a cliff.

So you got to toe the acceptable things to do, which means more mainstream stuff, or you risk losing your best revenue streams. For a lot of people they like the money more than fighting the system, so they shed the unwanted and unacceptable baggage.

I haven't done any of this myself though, so it's all "I heard someone say something somewhere" kind of iron logic.

This site helps push your game onto a horde of new eyes. Some will steal your content but some will also enjoy it and support you. The good outweighs the bad.

How exactly do they market their games?

Some developers just shoot the shit and talk to people like normal. Others get super technical and basically create their game with people here and finally theres the devs who only use this place to make pleads about not stealing their stuff in attempts to garner sympathy.

If someone is making an adult game, what do you think they should and shouldn’t do? What annoys you the most?

Stick to a singular vision, never try to appeal to EVERYONE because you will only end up annoying EVERYONE.

If you have pay for an adult game before what made you do it and what kind of adult game would make you do it again now?

Only XXX game I have considered paying for was Meet N fuck Club. The idea of a MMO where you can customize your own character and interact with a sex'ed out world sound good on paper but the execution of MNF was done terribly.
