I'm not defending him, just ranting about the gaming scene in general.
I think 5+ years is a ludicrous amount of time to wait for an update and is a good indication we're just being lead on at this point. If he spent as much time working on the game as he does his art livestreams, we could have something by now. Patreon nets him 200€ every month so I guess he has to act busy to keep his followers hooked on copium and retain his meager revenue. (And I don't care for the argument that "he would still work on this without the money" or that I'm acting "entitled".)
We even got AI now, which could be used to speed up the whole process (not talking about making the game for him, just laying the foundations or speed up the boring parts). He and his defenders can say whatever they want - actions speak louder than words and the only tangible results he has produced in years is art. It would be more realistic to call him a xeno smut artist at this point than a dev.
But I guess I'm just as much of a fool as everyone who still visits this thread once or twice a year in the hopes of change... The pains of having a niche kink - hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. Over the years I've come to realize how much I hate this whole "early-access" thing. In the past, you wouldn't know about the game until it released. I prefer it that way. Devs announce games when they are finished, costumers buy them when they are released. No false hopes, no gambling money away on promises, no waiting.
