It is not normal to play the game in a read only directory, because then swapping or saving the game does not work. In the original ZIP file, no read only attribute exists, in normal decompression there is no such attribute set, so it must have got there somehow (some protection? user?) later.

Just wannted to replay this game and went to Itch.io where I bought the full edition (with pictures etc.) Unfortunately as the devs has some trouble with Itch.io he isn't offering the game for download on that platform anymore.
