So what am I supposed to do at the night club? I have four coins, lost a coin down the drain, and can't figure out what to do. Also being unable to save is dumb.

EDIT: Last coin was hidden on some bottles.

Crazy how good this pixel art is in the promo photos, developer could be making bank with that pixel work
What screenshots are you looking at? A lot of the stuff there, like the character paperdolls, just aren't even pixel art. Then there is the background stuff, and the pixel density is all over the place. Some stuff is really smooth looking, and other assets are chonky even by 16-bit standards; so plenty of the stuff just does not look like it belongs in the same world, because the assets are seemingly built for different resolutions. Look at the stage curtains, compared to the orange stars hanging on them, the stone pedestals beside them, or the wooden floor texture below them; they're all in the same space and they're all a different pixel density, and none of them look like they belong together. Overall, 'crazy good' isn't anywhere close to how I would describe the current presentation.

While I currently do like what is currently here, I think that the pacing feels REALLY slow, something that is even more hurt by the lack of a save feature.

There is a lot of walking around to just get from one point to another. This isn't necessarily a unique trait to this game, nor is it something damning--however, there is a LOT of space considering Jax's relatively low speed, even when running. In my opinion, this wasn't too bad in the nightclub, considering the characters/coins are more spread out around the map... but in the opening, it takes like 2-3 minutes to do what could have been accomplished with maybe 5 seconds of text boxes.

Meanwhile, the door section overstays its welcome. I really enjoyed the first door (the gnome one), as that was unexpected and funny. However, then there's a bit of repeats and overall everything is just like, "Yeah I get it." after that point. It feels like a 15-20 second bit stretched out for what felt like a few minutes (though the lack of save feature makes it hard to tell exactly how long it was).

The art is very quality, however. While the pixel art is not perfect, I think that its quality is much higher than the average RPG Maker game, and the art for the CGs and character poses is excellent. (Small note: I find it bizarre how the character portraits use screenshots? You could just crop the character poses to be only the head and that would feel more fitting, and hilariously would likely have taken less effort than looking for a specific episode to grab screenshots from.)

I am absolutely going to follow this game closely; not only due to my love of TADC, but also due to the fact there is clearly a lot of care and interesting ideas put forwards here. Some of the execution needs work, however for a 0.1 version of a game, that is not too bad of a problem at all.

Not against porn that uses their "canonical proportion" as long as you don't make the sex awkward.

But the thing is, where are they
I know it's an initial release, but not even a teasing scene that let us know how will the rest of the scenes look?
I'll even take a simple bulge that let me know they at least found a way to retain their genitalia.

Thank you so much for your comments and for taking the time to play my game, I really appreciate it

I'll try to fix the most ridiculous bugs soon (especially the save issue, I honestly have no idea how that even happened ).

About the map sizes. Yeah, they're pretty big and involve a lot of walking, but thats because they'll gradually be filled with more content. (Don't forget, this is only the first version!) I don't really see the point in making them smaller just to expand and redraw them later.

I'll definitely keep your notes on the visuals in mind. You're right, some elements do stand out from the rest of the style. I tried to draw everything myself, but I did use a few standard RPGM assets on purpose, just so I wouldn't delay the first release forever.

As for the gameplay. I'll do my best to make it more diverse, so it doesn't feel like just a simple point-and-click adventure.

Once again, thank you all for your interest and feedback! It really means a lot :giggle:
