Damn bro why you gotta roast me like that  At least give the story a shot at least

Black is beautiful  On the topic of releasing it on Steam, it's still too early to tell. My current goal is just to get to the next update, and then maybe one day finish the game.

Come on, I'm sure you've seen at least a few pairs :LUL:
FYI, I for one really like the art. It is a noce change form the 3D stuff as long as the story is good.

There was a major art rework that came with this update that improved the art for all the characters immensely. Looking back, the old art definitely wasn't my best work since I was making the game with the mindset of "just release it as fast as possible no matter the quality". That mindset has changed quite dramatically though

I didn't see the earlier work as this was my first time playthrough.
As I said, I like the art style. Some of the 3D stuff is very good, but much of it falls into the 'uncanny valley'. A good story does not suffer with 2d art and limited colour pallet. In fact, some of my favourite Renpy games are like this like the work of Weird World and Mitty.
Your story has a lot of potential and I will keep a keen eye for how it develops.

Thank you! Just so I'm sure, what are you referring to when you mention 3D stuff?

I meant the AVN's using DAZ and Blender, etc. for more realistic 3D models.

What I was trying to say is that some authors put so much time and effort into the visuals, but that does not save a game from poor plot or writing.

Sure, some people really care about that and don't really read the text of the story if the visuals give them what they are after, but I think (like reading an actual book) the minds eye paints the most important pictures, and for the most part, the visuals of an AVN are just a guide for the imagination.

Yes there are key frames that help set the scene and enhance the story. Eye contact and body language is key and you do that in yours pretty well, especially when conveying unspoken feeling.
The visuals need to be in keeping and relevant to the dialogue otherwise it detracts from the story and breaks immersion. IMHO, vou have achieved this.

Forgot to include a method to actually engage in combat.... Game requires directional controls for the combat system.
