Ren'Py - The Awakening [v0.4.6.1] [SLim Games]

Edit 12 dec 2020: Like so many other adult games in development this game has turned from a great one to a terrible one, I can only speculate as to why this is so common, and I am guessing the developers run out of ideas or they lose motivation in the game(but still want to continue developing).

This game was one of my favorites(as you can see in my other review) but since then it has turned into a kinetic novel without any choices, added severl disgusting and unlikable women that you are forced to have a relationship and sex with(even before your intresets, especially the mom and sister), very little content with the "main girls" and the overall writing and scene quality is awful. So 3/10 is what I currently rate the game at, have a hard time seeing it getting any better, unless the redo these awful parts added in the most recent updates.

This game is great, and I really like the voice-acting in it, it's sexy and fits the characters very well, my fav is the little sister, she's super hot. The game has a standard porny story but the writing fits it, I would have prefered an incest patch instead of naming the characters because sometimes things doesn't really fit, incest-wise, and in my opinion the patch-road is always better for the writing. The renders are great and has some well-made animations too, with sounds to them, at least in the prologue.

The thing I did not like in this game is the way they made it in different parts, the "prologue" was my fav part but your choices doesn't follow you to the "new" version, and the story just starts in the middle, which was a strange decision, the new version is also very good, but it feels off that nothing fits from the prologue you just played.

Overall I will give the game 8,5/10, a big plus goes to the voice-acting which is so rare in these games, but actually adds a lot of value to the sexiness.

really high quality stuff. decent story. very nice graphics and the animations are superb, definitely one of the best.there is also voice acting which im not a super fan of(so used to reading text ).well u can always turn it off. gameplay is super smooth. overall a very good game. try it out!

Has beautiful animations, I love the corruption mechanic, and I love the sleep scenes. This has a lot of promise, I'm really looking forward to the next release, and more action for the fairie (I found out I have a thing for Fairies from Long Live the Princess).

The animations at the beggining are very bad. But they get A LOT better later on.

Models also looks nice. I just don't know why the landlady was changed to look older. she was perfect, now shes a 8/10 MILF

The plot is good enough and the story well written.

Unfortunately there is not enough content and even though I love minigames, I think he could have done a much better job at this.

Okay, I finally managed to play this game (as well as the "prologue") and I have to say I really enjoyed this game. I like the art, the renders, the story, and the premise. Tbth, I kinda have a thing for Faeries and Pixies- so this is a win in my book. Oh, and accident-prone, clumsy redheads with British accents... Rowwwrrrr. Lol AND having a game with a younger, blonde "roommate" doesn't hurt, either. Lol (Roommate...yeah, okay.)

I have to give the Dev credit- yeah, he went back and re-did everything...BUT he didn't start the new version from square one. I think making the previous version the prologue and the newer one a continuation of that was pretty smart. He, more or less, kept everything in canon with a few "I didn't make that decision originally, but oh well" moments. It still stands up as a solid game and sequel.

I am torn about which version of Autumn Wingleaf (the Fae) I like better. The other one was more traditional, but I have to say the Goth updated one is pretty cute too... Hopefully, we'll get to "interact" with her in the future. heh heh

I, also, like the VA- it's a nice touch. Although, I didn't know it was in the game and had to look around my apartment when I started hearing someone talking...considering I'm the only one that's supposed to be in here- that kinda caught me off-guard. Lol

This as well as its prequal are really amazing games. The idea of the xray in a lot of instances is such an amazing aspect. It was probably the thing I liked most about glassix. The art is fantastic, and the body shapes are real (decent amount of medium and small boobs). I like the direction its going with the openness to go where you want.

Really enjoying it so far and i have alot of fun with the custom names and relations as you can get quite silly. just wish the protag could have one more letter in his name

this is where the games weakness lies imo, the voiceacting while being a nice idea isn't really holding up. the lines often feel unnatural in the conversations or are without the correct emotion in them.

This is why I stopped supporting Devs of these kind of games but instead support creators on the likes of Kickstarter.I got tired of Devs stop updating their original game and starting it from scratch again.All the money I gave the Devs seemed to be pointless when at the end of it I had nothing to show for my money but a game started once again with little to no content and a number of Devs seem to do this!At least with Kickstarter I know I'm guaranteed to receive rewards for supporting the creators!

This is a prime example of awesome game development. Story is good, (dialog is slightly lacking) characters are diverse, music is appropriate, voiced with cute sounding voice actors, art and renders are great (the animations look pretty good and probably took an eternity to render) I actually plan to fund this game. A+ Devs!

This game is really special. It combines some of the best things about many other games into one. The text is well written and logical. The artwork is fantastic and the animation makes this game really special. I also really enjoy the voice over. Most games don't have it and it really adds to the whole game. The "land lady" and the "roommate" are hands down awesome. Right now there isn't a ton of content but if this game continues, it will surely be one of the best out there.

I really like this game. Incest as always is a fetish that so many people love not sure why but we do.

The render quality is good and the animations as in when the mom talks to the MC is a very nice surprise.

Not to crazy about the voice overs but I don't hate it.

Love that you can play as another character (mom) and hear her thoughts. The little fairy is a nice touch and hopefully we get more of her in the future.
The mom and daughter are hot well so are most of the models in the game. Always a plus.

Seriously give this game a try if you have not done so.

I love the animation scenes and the voices. I am looking forward to further updates for this althought i think i would like it to be a little more difficult to "get what you want" in places.

This games youngest blondes model is one of if not the best renders in Ren'py I have ever seen. That combined with the great writing and FUCKING VOICE ACTING!!!! make this game a no brainer for me to support. Keep it up Slim.

writing is kinda weird and all over the place. "landlady" catches me peeping on her in the shower and then the game skips few days until date with "roommate"
characters are quite poorly written tbh. i just met them and they give me hj's and bj's. there is magic involved but it feels like a cheap trick so you can get some sex content. long live the princess handled the magic fey quite good.
there is no build up and character development. sis looks like to be a cool character (in future when she is (hopefully) developed) but at the moment she is just random girl giving me blowjobs, because she loves me. and looks like MC and her had relationship even before the game starts but that is not explained. i guess it will be in the future with the amnesia and shit but right now you have no idea what the hell is going on. stuff just happen, without any explanation and MC just goes with it without caring to find out anything.
animations are cool but i imagine thats why development is slow. i dont think the payoff is worth it but im not gonna complain. the voice acting sucks tho. it just ruins the game. im fine with some moans and gasps but for full voice acting you need GOOD VOICE ACTORS. and you cant hire such when even yourself are not working full time on the game. you can turn the voices of so thats good but its kinda wasted recources. which can be spend on hiring a writer, which i think this game need.
tl;dr: the writing is ruining it.

This game has great renderings which are superior to the majority of the 3d games out there right now. It also has voice, which is very rare and the only other game I've come across on this site with voice you need to contribute to the developer to get it. It also has a few animated scenes (if I remember correctly.

This game is delicious. The MC's amnesia is made believable by how the others react to him. Oh and don't skip the text! you might skip some perfectely rendered flashback.
the only problem with this game is tipical of any game where you can name the relationship between characters; sometimes other characaters might call another one by what your relationship is

Finished chapter 3 and so far the game is really good, i enjoyed the characters, story, animations and the voice acting is hard to get use to but it was good!

Awsome 3D Animated and have many animated scene not only on sex scene, like everyday chat or driving a car, have voice act on one of the girl. Good story for modern - fantasy novel, sadly only Ch.3 part 1. so, it only few content now.

V0.1 Review -
This game continues to astound me even with this new rework. I think most of the content from the initial versions still happened in this new update, but the point at which the division happens isn't perfectly clear. I think the only thing that didn't happen was the haunted house scene from update #3.

Anyways, this rework is exceptionally well done. You can go places now, and unlock secret scenes, and the characters all look a lot better now, and things just make more sense. Each scene and image is way better now too, and it's obvious that special care has gone into the game. The game is now undeniably incredible, and I can't wait for what will come in the next updates.

My only dislike of the new content is that the sis/girlfriend/girl with the blonde hair, seems to be wearing a little too much makeup now... I think her face is a little too artificial now, and not as smooth as before. Anyways, she's still acceptable enough.

SLim seems to have taken from a few concepts present in Milfy City as well, which is a wise decision in my book.


(OLD REVIEW): Perfection. Everything it does, it does perfectly. This game is astounding, and one of the few games that really makes you wish for more.

The characters are perfect and believable, and although it's not clear yet just what kind of personalities they have, they're the complete opposite of the dumb bimbos in almost every other game.

The ONLY downside of this game, is that there's not enough content yet. You can complete chapter 1 and 2 in only about thirty minutes, but damn son, what a thirty minutes it is. I highly recommend you contribute to the creator, SLim Games, and give as much constructive criticism as possible.

This game and Milfy City are the two best games I have ever played on this site. This game needs a ton more recognition too, so if you want to get it into the eyes of more people, leave a review just like me.

I'm highly looking forward to the next chapters.

Great Promise, worse delivery but still enjoyable ride it was. In the end, there are many loopholes in the story which we need to fill.. with cum, love or plot. Which will it be in our case? Who knows but Dev? God? Nobody will ask him, but Dev is alive and kicking. Lets find out from the source mates.

Genrally a good game with not so deep plot which might be confusing at first..

A lot of work is before dev to make it into a good game or even damn good one. Lets hope for the best
