Precisely. Don't ignore good advice, or constructive criticism, but the game is, and should be, the developer's vision.

(Unless, of course, the vision is to make money by soliciting and incorporating patrons' ideas.) ;)

I know what you mean about declining suggestions, though. If my game hadn't been pretty much finished before I started posting it, I would have been hard pressed not to make changes as a result of player suggestions.
