Found bug, if you try to skip time in desert outpost where is trader, you will be asked OP choices, and you can't cancel it(exit this choices menu).
start NG from the start or from Update.

Its a long quest sequence. The in-game walkthrough is so vague. First, finish the renowned quest with Amelia, the books locations, keeper library, keeper room top-right and behind Emily in the herbal shop. Then go all the way up in the beyond map and kill the giant to get the royal palace pass. Then finish Emily's quest with the witch and you'll get a compass from Amelia and you'll be able to go to the desert city (from where you killed the giant). There you'll find the dye salesman (for clothes, carpet and dye). Phew, yeah its a lil long and confusing especially Amelia's quests I think one of them is bugged.

Just finish Emily quest and she will return to her shop.

Just did that and it worked. BTW can I ask where are the three evidence from Queen's quest, I found two from the temple (or wherever the prietess used to stand but I cannot find the third one)

Find the mug in the street during the first part of the night, check out the tree next to the portal for the mushrooms and piss stains, talk to the keeper about the corruption, talk to the barkeeper during early night about garibali and then drink with him.

You can talk to bar maid and ask about Garibaldi.
You can also drink with Garibaldi in the tavern.
two evidences near the tree(or it counted as one evidence)
one in the evening when Garibuldi drink at the bar(on the same map where he stand) there is beer mug
in the castle on the table in the same room as portrait of queen with princess there is some report about Garibaldi
There is at some point you can talk to the keeper about corruption of the tree.
After you give all evidence to queen there is quest with the princess and in the process of this quest you will see as Garibaldi piss on the tree and Princess also the witness of it.

In the End you can talk to Garibaldi after that and choose what you will do with him(there is only difference as how you will do it) In the end you can get reward from the queen and bribe from Garibaldi at the same time.

I decided to give this game a try, but I'm stuck right at the beginning... if I try to go to the castle it asks me for a permit (shoulnd't the letter be enough?), and if I try to go to the Keeper's house I get soft-locked and can't go back to the main road anymore. Any help please?

I talked with everyone and visited all the available places... and the only available quest I have is about fetching some herbs to Emily

Edit: I figured it out, I had to click on the Keeper's house. I have the arrows set to always on, but there wasn't any pointing at his house

The permit is gained by beating the troll in the beyond (top of the map to the right of the portal).

I did not go to the queen for a very long time, don't remember even where i got permit.
I think at the Beyond map.
Read all hints for the active quests.
Try all locations at the Beyond as there are some items, 2 weapons i think permit also there.

Also when at the castle you will be asked about your strange name choose second option(not to pay gold)
It change nothing except you lose some money.

Hello fellas. As many have pointed out, with the new update the game feels somewhat slower and has some irritating problems with the UI, engine and overall gameplay (for me personally, i couldn't quicksave and would get random error screens in The Beyond sometimes, not to mention how laggy combat is) and these problems can really drag down the gameplay experience. And while i have faith in Tjop to work on fixing these problems in near future, i DO have some temporary solutions that might help in the moment:
First of all, obviously, the way to counteract the quicksave problem, is to just save manually or use autosaves. When an error screen pops out, press "Rollback", then proceed to save in the proper slots.
As for the overall jagginess: i found that the problem stems from the game being poorly optimized in some areas. it is unclear how this could happen, as renpy is usually not an engine that is very heavy on the system, unless it's employing constant complex animations, which is hard to say if that would be the case here. But it is a notoriously unstable one, so i would not necessarily blame the developer for this.
Anyways, the "Bandaid" solution to it is to simply: close any applications that may drain your computer's processing, then
(this is the important part)
open taskbar => navigate to the big beyond(while it's open) => go to details => set priority => then choose "high" or "realtime", depending on your setup.
this should help in the short-term, while the root cause is being worked on. Good luck, and enjoy the game!

Preferably avoid all this commands, better just to save manually more ofthen and load save from Main menu if you recieve console reports.
If you can avoid using WASD for movng in Beyond MAPS you can avoid this problems mostly(use only move commands from map with mouse).

For renpy engine lags, it it problematic engine right now for new games(if there is some heavy animations or flash). It is also hard to optimize it.

After you defeat Troll on the north exit of first Beyound map, you can go North to Desert, there will be Desert outpost with trader, he sell it.

Well, I can only tell from my experience, i only recieved crash console report from WASD controls. After i found there is also mouse movement controls via map buttons, there was no problems after.
Cleared mostly game at this point, still searching Djin girl)
MAybe there is other possible ways to recieve crash log, but idk about it.

Hey, some others have said the same thing, although I can't replicate it at all. I'm a bit confused why it might happen, especially so rarely. If you'd like to upload a save file to help my investigation, I'd be really happy. Thank you for reporting it and I hope it doesn't ruin your experience for the rest of the game too much.

Here' I've made a quick cheat code for your situation in the meantime. You just copy this file into the game folder and rewrite. After go talk to the priestess (Can I ask a prayer from you?) and type in "testamvisit" This will reset all the values for amelias dialogue option.
