A demo should be a vertical slice of the player experience and should include every intended aspect of the core game loop. Potential subscribers may be interested in art, story, UI/UX, etc. -- a veritable plethora of necessary components for a successful erotic game -- but at the end of the day potential subs and pirating players still prioritize one criteria over all others: titillating smut.
If there's no indication of what that will be like in the demo, then players are being asked to roll the proverbial dice and hope that either their time or their money will be well-spent (depending on their commitment) without any indication of outcome.
As you imply, this harms adoption-rate of the game and loyal followers.
The model of a dev who did their demo right, does their subsequent releases right and doesn't kill themselves, but communicates with players too, is VoidPilgrim from Star Periphery. I rather wish all devs were like them (and that if all devs were like them, their players would pay for their games rather than pirating, but it is what it is).
I played this years ago and figured it was abandoned. Never thought we see it again... Whys it being updated now ?
Sandbox doesn't seem to relly fit this game, unless my definition of sandbox differs from everyone else/this is just the prologue and you get sandbox gameplay later on
it was abandoned 5 years ago after initial release and the dev decided to come back to it. good thing is, if the dev abandon this again, he man return working on it again after a few years.

So there's a bug that is preventing the video media from looping like it's supposed to. It'll be fixed in the Friday release. Sorry

Update posted. Adds the first scene of chapter 2 and fixes a couple of stupid bugs. You get to play as Brandi in this one. Viewpoint will switch back to Shay in the next one.
The scenario is interesting but currently there is not enough content to see where the story goes. Just hope that the mc is not railroaded to become gay. When in the female body, the mc should be able to hit on girls leading to lesbian scenes. This tag is currently missing. I don't mind crossdressing or body swap in games as long as the mc is not forced/railroaded to have sex with males.
A lot depends on how the body swap turns out :
- permanent (they continue their life in each other's body and have to live with the swap)
- recurring (swap and swap back from time to time or in special situations, eg when fighting each)
- limited number of (later controlled) swaps and back

Repeated body swaps for a limited time have a great potential to corrupt the other persons body (eg by working out, not working out), friendships (hang out, flirt, have sex with friends or piss them off), clothing (buy new stuff, throw other stuff away), ... If mc is a perv, he might even shave his sister's pubs while in her body (or vice versa) to give her/him a surprise when they switch back (Note : here the sister has "a neat little pussy, shaved clean") ... a lot of potential but also a lot of work to implement that all, because the next day the sibling has to deal with all the changes and the friends may have to deal with repeated schizo behaviour of both until they share their secret.

As this is still chapter 2 intro and it's basically world building atm, none. The only sexual content is fapping in Ch2.

Dude... Demo or not why would you release something so insanely short? You took the time to make and link a profile for all the sub websites but couldn't take a few days to actually make a game? That's so fucked up... it's taking all my good will of the day not to 1 star such a blatant lazy cash grab. Do better man.
I strongly believe it will happen. Now that being said, while I am happy with the writing as it stands, we don't have enough content on this game yet. I'll wait for more

The story telling with the body swap and protagonist switching is unusual but interesting ...
Main problem is that many tags no longer make sense in the context of body swap.
- If Brandi in Shay's body decides to shave and dress feminine, it is not sissification nor feminization, especially not the forced type.
- Courtney probably wanted to sissify submissive Shay, but now with Brandi in Shay's body this does no longer make sense since Brandi is very assertive, feminizes the current appearance on her own and would probably never submit to Courtney ...
- If Logan or Melvin have sex with Shay in Brandi's body, it would be straight sex for Logan and Melvin. If Shay gives a blowjob, it may feel gay from Shay's POV, but from outside it is a straight (MF) scene.
- If Brandi in Shay's body would have sex with Logan, then it would be gay sex from Logan's POV and outside, but for Brandi the POV would be similar to the straight sex she had with Logan before, just that her new body has no boobs, tiny dick and small ass ... (hope she likes anal)

- Shay starts with a small penis (SPH), so even with Assertive aspect it might be difficult to top the big boys in gay encounters.
- Shay now is stuck in Brandi's body, so his Assertive aspect cannot be used in gay encounters at all, but he could dominate men (and women) in another way, using a strapon (Shay dominatrix, eg femdom pegging).
- Brandi would humilate Shay for his small penis but now she is stuck in his body and the small penis is her problem. (lol)
So we will have to see how the story continues and especially how the protagonists and other characters react to the body swap ... It's not that Brandi now will hang out with Shay's friends and vice versa unless she is forced to by circumstances ...
The scenario with the twins seems a bit limiting unless the dev either wants to add incest in the future or wants to make sure that Shay and Brandi never have sex with each other with their swapped bodies. The story probably would work the same with 2 students (male+female) who are arch enemies since childhood and end as roommates in a dorm. As just roommates there would be no limits ...

Agreed. The story would be better with a protagonist (either character) than just a couple of POV characters. The dramatic tension of "what will they do with my body?" is broken by allowing the player to completely decide that. Multiple-POV stories only work when there is little or no interaction between the POV characters.

This has been a game that I have been interested in for a long time.
The concept I find interesting and it is clear that the developer is very skilled with twine and if you have even a glance at the code behind the game, it is much more advance than most of the html games on this site. In theory, this would mean that if/when the game is further along, it will be able to handle much more complicated mechanics.
I do think that there is currently not enough of the game at this moment, and with the size of the first update, the updates are also too small to be worth the majority of players time to re-download and replay it.
I also believe that the 1st release (and even after chapter 2) is a horrible example of a 'demo'. The first public release should be able to show off the main mechanics of the game. So far, there is only glances at the concepts of features instead of showing off how they will be used. One of the main Unique Selling Point of the game is the trait system and how it will lead to different interactions, but I do not feel like this isn't shown off enough at the moment. It is fine if you don't want to have the effects of these choices until later, but don't release build until one of them is paid off as an example. The only one I can think of that does have an affect at the moment is the unassertive which currently just allows you to gain another 'set up' trait but no payoff scence yet. At the moment, the impression of this game is that it is going to be very railroady with some flavour differences depending on choices.
I do believe that the game has so much potential but if I could give the Dev some advice, it would be to not post the smaller updates on here. I understand that they have a discord that they could release the smaller 'test builds' on and then release the chapters in full when they are completed here.
I do hope the Dev does continue to work and eventually finishes this game, but its so hard to be invested when there is currently so little of the game to be invested in.
