I just installed The Book of Bondmaids via Steam, but the game gets stuck on the language selection menu. It keeps reloading or blinking and never proceeds to the actual game.
I have tried reinstalling, decompiling, and clearing saves, but nothing helps. Others don't seem to report the same issue, so I wonder if there's something specific to my install or system.
I also tried downloading it from here/alternate sorce, but ended up with the same issue.

You captured the dark fantasy very well: cruel, ruthless and yet charming.
