i think a lot of people on here like porny games,thats why they are here in the first place.slow burners get boring real quick.this is the one thing i don't understand about small developers of adult games. probably the most successful VN around is fate/stay night which has seen global success, spawned 3 movies, 2 anime series and countless fanfics. it has very little sex.
surely less 'porny' is the way to go? certainly what i would be looking to create if i had the wisdom to programme and/or animate my stories. all the top rated VN's have a story that captivates with either a brilliant story (fate/stay night just 1 example) or is very well written (kara no shojou i think its called is a bloody good example. 50's japanese horror/detective VN)
i honestly don't think it matters if developers create a slow burner, providing the writing is like a novel instead of the picture book writing so many decide on. of course this is just my opinion, but it does seem like food for thought
however, if you are looking to make a money spinner, might i recommend next creating something like brothel king or jack o' nines but with better art? THAT would get a lot of english speaking attention for sure
most brothel games i have played have ripped or terrible art and the few i have seen with half decent never got finished.
a massive undertaking but i've yet to see one finished
and honey select is just cheating

The problem with slow burners in general for this type of media is that you sometimes have to wait months to get the next update. But I personally would rather wait than have random sex scenes thrown in as filler. But to each their own.
Just curious is all.

Just wanted to jump on and address a few things I've been seeing.
Some people seem to be having issues with old saves, if you're having this issue please PM me so I can see what the issue is.
I don't agree that if a game doesn't have any physical sex scenes between family members then it shouldn't have the incest tag, not just for my game but for all. I pretty much only go for games with incest and there could be a really good game that plans to have incest but I don't know about it because it's lacking that tag, I get that it's forum rules but I disagree with it. Each to their own though.
As for the game being a slow burn, I said from day 1 that's what the game will be, it won't be anywhere near as slow as SunshineLove, but it'll be somewhat slow. That being said, something you need to keep in mind is though is the game isn't being released the way it was intended. Due to working on WTHI I had to cut the releases for The Cabin, other wise you'd be getting a release every 6 months which wouldn't be practicle in the slightest. So episode 1 part 1, 2 & 3 was intended as 1 episode, as was episode 2 part 1 & 2. Due to this, the slow burn I had originally is now even slower and I hadn't accounted for it. I have now accounted for it though and I'll be making changes to certain parts of the story while still staying true to my original tale.
I've been in discussion with MrFriendly and we've agreed to change a few things to account for those larger delays in releases.
I've also decided to scrap the parts in the title, so the next release won't be episode 2 part 2, it'll just be episode 3.

From the beginning, I said that the event can only to one of three things, rape, affair or murder and now that cell said it's not rape, I'm going with affair because Hazel keeps saying for the MC to understand and accept the event when the mom finally comes to him. I think she got caught at the Christmas party and everyone at work knows and thinks she fucked her way up and the marriage was on the rock since and she started drinking as a result.
Overall, love the story and as a developer myself, I want to say do the story you want and pace yourself because burnout is real.

Game oN!The reason it goes back and fourth between Grace and Mom is because it depends who she is talking to, if she is talking to mc or Lisa it should show up as Mom but if it shows as Grace it means she's talking to Hazel or a non-family member ( or at least it should if I did it right

As I have said many times now, for me the event has to be believable.
Her initial conversation with her husband doesn't track her having an affair (or him having an affair). For example, the event is something she told her husband but he doesn't believe her. An event big enough to cause her to start drinking heavily and treating her kids like shit in the process.
