Anyone have a save from the just before the most recent update? My save is still broken - gets bugged into a loop during the truth or dare scene - even while reinstalling an unmodded copy.

Nah, I'd preferences emi should be separated from the cabin storyline.
I mean, emi already having fun with "another bro" in her sequel. Which it could be better rather just instead join with the cabin.

The Cabin - Episode 8 | Dev-Note
Progress on episode 8 is underway, and I wanted to jump on real fast with a little progress report. Not a shit tonne has been done since the release of episode 7, but that's just because I took a little time off to chill.
I'm roughly 50% done with the script work, coming in at around 1,300 lines, but just because 1,300 is done, that doesn't mean the other 50% will be 1,300 lines too. When I say I'm 50% done, I mean I'm 50% through my plotted script. So this episode has 9 scenes, and I've just finished scene 5. So just 4 more scenes, and the script work will be finished.
As for the art, I've not made big strides with that yet. The first scene is a little... annoying... like, super fucking annoying! But once I'm through that, it should be clear sailing.
And as a little side note, scene 5... I think a LOT of you are going to love it... or hate it o.0 We'll have to see
I'll also have a little preview of something else a little later tonight. You'll see it and think... but why? and I'll answer it now... I just can't help myself

I feel like it's been a long time since we had a new character in The Cabin, so I put on the ol' thinking cap and came up with this. Since we'll be dealing with a lot of death/hurt and shit in The Cabin, I figured we could use a nurse to tend to those ouchies
She'll have a tie-in with Adverse Effects, as she is the sister of the doctor in that game (I looked for 20 mins; I don't think I ever gave the doctor a name). I could be wrong, but I couldn't find one
That being said, I don't know if I want her to be in The Cabin or have her own game. And I know what you're thinking: "But Cell, you said no more games until The Cabin gets to X point" (I forgot when I said no more mini games till ). But you're right; if I were to do it as a mini game, then we wouldn't be seeing her for some time. That being said, I have up to episode 12 of The Cabin planned out, and nowhere in that plan is there a nurse, so I really don't know where to slot her in... yes, I'm sure something at some point would give me an opportunity to have her in the game, but it probably won't be until at least a year from now.
That being said, I really like the character design If I was to do a solo game with her, then someone gave me an idea for a game a while back, and maybe I was thinking about that when designing her, but it was a game about a nurse (who just so happens to be a "landlady" ), and her "tenant" has an accident and breaks both his arms, and she has to... tend to him...
That being... more said, if I were to use her in a solo game, it wouldn't be for a while. I love writing, and it isn't going to take me much time to finish the script for episode 8, and it probably wouldn't take me long to write a new game... and I'd probably hire someone else to do a bulk of the art, that way I don't have to stop working on The Cabin, but I don't know, I've rambled enough, so I guess if you have any input on it, just comment below or something. I also have another character design, but she isn't ready to be shown yet I think if I were to do a solo game with her, then the other character that I haven't should would be the "tenant"'s "roommate," who is a little naive, so the "landlady" could get her to help the mc too... but I don't know. I'm just spitting out ideas at the moment
as much as I'd love to see that game get made, I also want to focus on The Cabin

hmm, I remember I downloaded the game rather recently and I got to the scene with Emi being excited with the idea of a harem and her participating. Does that mean that there was an update in between and Emi is no longer available? Damn, what a pity. She is cute.
Does that mean my savegame is broken - again?

IDK what that means for your save game; you should also have autosaves (on the A page listings) that might work if your manual save doesn't. She's from another of Cell Studios' games, and she's not available sexually in this game because of her story in two previous ones (each of which has Emi's name in the title), where she's the primary love interest ofc. There's no cross-game cucking of any of Cell's MCs.

Yes, dev updated another version where she turns down the mc because she doesn't want to cheat. The future chapters are going to use that so you'll have to redownload the game. If you want scenes with Emi go play Cell's other game where she's originally from. That's what the whole controversy was about, because she was going to cheat on the mc from that game with the mc from this game

That honestly annoyed me. Another baddie that is in the family got introduced and we get no play with her.
Because she has her own game. You want to do stuff with her, play the dev's other game

Yeah, and that's pretty much the reason that she's not available in this game. The MC of one game won't cuck the MC of the other one. (It avoids outrage later by people who play both games — well, all three, since she has 2 VNs technically.)

Hey all,
I wanted to jump on and give a little update about episode 8. There isn't really much to report, to be honest; art is slowly chugging along, and I haven't fully finished the script (about 50% done at the moment). I spent way too much time writing the 5th scene (the best scene of the episode... just saying...).
But, while I have you, I want to introduce you to... um... well, she doesn't have a name yet. I have a few ideas in mind, but I want to do something different with her. I want to hear your suggestions. What do you think she should be called? Leave a comment below.
An obvious suggestion for a name - Iris. In Greek mythology Iris was the goddess of the rainbow.
On another note - that motel looks like a real shithole, she needs rescuing stat!

Yea I agree with this, she is already in a relation with someone else(her brother) so it feels a bit weird for her to be included in this VN as a Li
