VN Ren'Py The Call of Darkness [v3.01] [Ace Games]

This rollercoaster has only just hit the first downslope. We ain't even to the high point yet, but I can promise I believe the ride and follow-through will be worth it.

As long as there will be some Idle-Time after a low->up section where the stuff that happened will be processed by the characters ^^
Which would also be just logical as without an opportunity to process the shit that goes down (especially Lovecraft-Level of stuff) the characters would sooner or later begin to lose their minds
I'm still partially in shambles after binge-playing "Trouble in Paradise" which also doesn't really have any phases where you (and the characters) can take a breather at all and slide from one crisis into the next. Mostly only 1-2 days between the dramas and new dramas already start before the old ones are finished. You defused one damocles sword? Too bad, now there are two of them and they're even bigger

I recently finished this one, after the first chapter I thought we were going to play a good guy being the chosen one of Noden, but now that I caught up I think we made a deal with the devil, one that seems impossible to accomplish.

My first impression honestly it was unfavorable, mainly because I usually don't like sex dream sequences and partly because of some pace issues early on where the story seemed to be a bit too chill from what the premise of the game seemed to be, although I am glad I kept playing, but I still think Pella deserves a better sex scene "if" we ever see her again.

Of the Antares girls, I like the looks of Valerya, but Bobbie is the one I like the most personality wise so far.

Lastly, I liked the Demeter section and honestly given the proper choice I would have accepted Callisto's proposition and likely gotten a bad ending there

I don't like the majority of dream sex in games either, they almost never serve as anything but a delivery system for an unfulfilling early sex sequence, but given the engine I was using I wanted to showcase its strengths in animation (non-mechanical, immersive, animated eye contact/movement, etc) and went ahead with one here. Thankfully due to the nature of the MC's dreams being what they are and how things evolve (and will continue to), dreams in my game are a lot more plot related/driven than not, and since you guys are so insistently curious about if we see "Pella" again.

Like I said, everyone's lovely--but I gotta agree with you. Bobbie was, let's say, a significant factor in my initial desire to pick this up, and Val is icing on the cake.

Doesn't hurt that she's mean. God knows I love a mean girl.
