That Is kinda Weird. I have not Got that Far yet,... BUT
Earlier in Game, Conversation between MC & Dakota(in Dakota's bedroom) Debunks that premise.
(Dad left Ava for another/younger woman, when Dakota was a infant(??) and MC was young (5-ish)...)
- SO, (ten yrs later), when MC would have been in High school, Dad had Sex change and became Tasha?
* Do We Know How long Tasha has been working for "the Company"?
I am PRETTY Sure Ava & MC would have noticed If the "Father" was Trans/woman or not.
- It Could Still work, but DEV or someone, would have to change some dialog (unless you go with the Sex change theory)
It was just a guess that Tasha is Ava's ex-husband (i.e. MC's father) from dialogue Ava uses meeting Tasha at the Xmas Eve meal since if you build up enough of a relationship with Tasha then a Christmas Eve meal invite becomes available and Ava has a "Tasha looks familiar" moment after recognizing Tasha at the Christmas kitchen table. So Ava does notice something. But the familiarity could come from Dakota having an encounter with Tasha in a different evening sequence in the game which Ava walks in on, so don't read too much into this "Tasha could be MC's biological father" theorizing.
But it's also hinted that Tasha has worked at The Company for a while being trusted long enough to travel to The Company's main HQ with the MC and Sophie, and has some working experience with Julia from years before, gleaned during questioning after a slave girl dies mysteriously. Another hint that Tasha might be Ava's ex is that Tasha is a blond and the MC's hair turns blond when grown long, but that could be wild coincidence instead of Tasha being biologically related to the MC. The MC and Dakota are still young adults, with the MC recently graduating from college with Dakota now attending that college so even if Tasha was about 16 to 18 years older than the MC, Tasha would not necessarily look old, and makeup could hide any mature face lines.
This is just guess work at the moment and a tiny leisurely pursuit. Don't take it too seriously.
