No to both, hence why they are Bad Ends and you get the achievement "Bad Ender" for ever making that thing. Even when they add new uses for it (which is coming as far as I saw mentioned, at least one more for mom and maybe one more for Dakota) they will all end badly, mindbreak, runaway, owned by the company or possibly even just plain dead.
