Technically there was an update but it's minor. Mainly codebase wise and some new media spread around.

There is a cheat to start out with a large sum of money. I just use console commands or save file edits to give myself more, not that you really need any unless you try to use the Pit early.

This is actually really good to see. I like updates from competent developers that know what they're doing, it doesn't happen often. I can wait.
