For me the main problem that Inatari had with the art of this game is that from the beginning he didn't have a defined artistic style to follow, during the first updates you could see different styles (it was more noticeable in the face of the characters), even I think I remember that in the same update I noticed two different styles (maybe it was just me), I also think that to be doing everything by himself, the art is very good (at least to my personal taste) but it is also true that the taste of each person is different and not always will agree on something, especially in things as complex as art. This is probably gonna be lost in the sea of opinions, but I think the art in this game isn't bad at all. For someone just making a game I give them props for actually making it instead of using the most generic AI tool out there. not to bash AI or anything, it has some uses. I do agree that the characters aren't usually on-model, especially recently, but I think that is because the Dev might not have a model sheet or anything like that and has been wing-ing it. Model sheets are supper helpful for keeps designs consistent and I use them all the time for the shit I do. It happens a lot, if you are trying to improve your art and wing it for your character, your art-style is gonna change rapidly. (I also noticed that there is less rendering with the CG overtime but I don't blame them for cutting back, shit takes too long lmao.)
