Well, the most important spoiler of the update is Ryuu's grandpa telling him that ejaculation is the greatest stress relief.

so after the 0.5.2 you cant go to the recollection room using the item so i forced MC to tp to reco room via an editor.
it seems some of the scenes (newer ones especially where you end the update) are not in the recollection room yet (no physical sprite or item to interact with)
but here's a save file so you can see them yourself

Its not actually gatekeeping, but keeping the project alive at all. Its hopefully not as dramatic as he implies, but he is right in principle. Remove the incentive to make game, and you get less, just cause and effect.
