The art constantly changes because Inatari makes his own art and he doesn't have an already established style yet, especially since before he started working on Corruption of the Village he only made images and not animations, and so he used the "more detailed" style that you all are so desperate to see again at the beginning of the game, but as he continued to work on the game and start adding more and more animations to scenes, his style has obviously changed because (i assume) the original character models would've been a bitch and a half to use for animated scenes.
Flooding the thread with complaints that the art sucks is pointless for muliple reason.
1; Inatari will NEVER see this because he only ever checks this thread whenever he releases a new Update, and even then it's only to see if it got leaked or not.
2; Inatari didn't say anything that would confirm this but i do belive that there's an almost 0% chance that you'll EVER see the original art ever again, mostly because Inatari clearly prefers working with this one and also because nobody, and i mean NOBODY, complains about the current style's quality on discord, and that is the only platform that Inatari cares about.
3; As i said before, Inatari's style changes constantly as time goes on, and so there's a very high chance that sooner or later it'll change again, and who knows, maybe that'll be more to your liking. He's a relatively new artist who's still in college and as most artists he likes to experiment, you can't expect him to come up with an artstyle right at the beginning of his carees and then stick with it for the rest of his life, he obviously wasn't satisfied with the previous one so he started doing something different, and you're gonna see every change that he makes in his style because he can't just simply stop working on the game and disappear for half a year to improve his art, he would kill his own game by doing that.
As for this abomination, let's not get carried away, i like the game as much as the next guy but NOTHING about this game has ever been anywhere close to a 10, especially not at the beginning, and saying that the game has become THAT much worse just because the artstyle looks different is just an insane thing to say.
