The game actually have 3 main girls, since the mother Violet is also considered a main girl.
- The new update brought scenes to all the girls including side girls, and it was amazing.
To get a story rich game you need to have a bit more then only one or two female characters.
In this case the side girls are a key ingredient for corrupting the girls Yui and Marin.

So this is why he keep including side girls, to get the story to be more believable.

I agree, personally I like how the devs take the time and put work into the secondary girls, partly because they are almost always the ones who are the favorites of the community hahaha.

I understand that there are people who don't like that approach, but the trend shows that many times people want more from the secondary girls.

In the case of this game, Akane I think is the favorite of many (I dare to say that for some she is above Yui, Marin and Violet, we can even say that she is almost a main girl hahaha) and the truth is that the scene of her in this new update was just great and a point and a part for the character, I sincerely hope Inatari takes very well what happened as it opens a lot of opportunities for Akane with the soldiers, Kema, Juvia and of course to support in the corruption of Yui and Marin.

This only reinforces what I said previously, currently most NTR games suffer from poor quality when developers place secondary characters in the story, this causes the focus on NTR to fade and get lost. It's very rare to have NTR games where the girlfriend is the focus of the game, the scenes and the story, which is very contradictory to be honest, but it's the reality of this market. As long as this doesn't change, we will still have several NTR games where that feeling of NTR doesn't exist, and with each game it gets lost, unfortunately this trend of secondary characters is a form of money farming for prolonged development, which harms NTR.

0.4.6 already had huge red flags. I'm not the least bit surprised that people are suddenly upset about 0.4.8. The whole phasing is extremely amateurish and to be honest the game seems to have gotten a bit overhyped over time.

Exactly, some people have trouble understanding this and end up feeling disappointed. Which is funny because Inatari doesnt hide what he's doing, he always makes it very clear which girl and what her scene will be in each of his reports. Also in the changelog, he mentions again which girls will appear. For me this was one of the best updates, the art is amazing

While I'm all for Inatari taking his time doing things, I'm honestly getting a little tired of it too hahaha. I guess we just have to be patient and wait, after the events of this update I think it will be a little while (maybe at most 3 update) before the main girls see real action.

Surely once Yui, Marin and Violet have sex for the first time the updates will be more interesting, and they will be even more interesting when all the girls in general are super advanced.

i mean as inatari said in here, once the sex scenes start they're gonna have a domino effect- so now akane has been fucked i expect violet wont be far behind, followed swiftly by marin and eventually yui, with Lucy somewhere in between. he also mentioned in the discord he has a LOT of sex scenes in mind so it wont be 90% corrupting 10% corrupted at least. imo i like context and build up so the slow burn works on me, and when the game is out fully i believe it'll be more memorable and better because of that than if it was a quick fuckfest. the fact so many people are here talking about it means the anticipation aspect is working at least. i hope he continues to do his thing his way, obviously if that leads to a significant reduction in financial support then he can have that convo with the supporters, but right now all seems to be well in that regard.

Actually, based on what happens in this update, I think Marin AND Violet won't be able to hold out for much longer. Also, Inatari could progress Yui's corruption while working on the sex scenes for the other girls. That would be a good option

The only warning I'll give about N_Taii's games is that he tends to do a reasonably good job with the build up to the corruption and then enter a holding pattern where the events become harder and harder to take seriously before launching into an ending he clearly hadn't planned out ahead of time forcing him to use deus ex machina. Both of the complete Henteria Chronicles games end that way and the in progress third isn't looking like it'll go much better as it's supposed to complete this year and there's very little set up for the ending so far.
