I like the premise, but many bugs:

1.) Pressing x at the hunchback order dialog causes crash
2.) The sidebar menu tutorial always plays
3.) Cannot add books besides alchemy as the rest are not marked ""note": "<Menu Category: Books>"
4.) If you buy leather/gold before getting the spellbook quest, the checkboxes don't get marked
5.) Cannot research additional recipes. I think you forgot to call ClearChoiceSettings here... changing to this worked for me

6.) Research options for soothroot tea/ scrying potion never disappears and researching them adds duplicate entries
7. Mandrake is marked as a catalyst in recipe for Fertility potion but active in js\clsAlchemy.js. Milk is not even listed
8. Alch-garlic image is missing

Not enough sex content to justify playing through yet, but I like where this is going, will revisit after a few more patches

Looking at it from another angle, being cool and handsome is also a desire for many people. So it's common enough for main characters to be good-looking.
It is much harder to explain why some people find Ugly Bastard to be a better self-insert character than Ordinary Japanese Schoolboy. It can't be that they all look that bad.

Honestly? This was actually fun to play.

Just too early dead end in the main quest. Most stuff you can research / learn doesn't seem to work.

And the RPGM engine isn't really up to the complexity of the gameplay. Some of the interfaces already had huge lags while near end of content.



Definitely recommended checking this out if you have nothing better to do.

Not sure where the psychology is for an "Ugly Bastard MC" game like this, i found it mostly funny. Basically it is the raison d'etre for the whole plot, it wouldn't work with a "Prince Charming MC".




However - the typical game with the "Gigachad Muscleman MC with Horsecock" is pretty clear in psychology. It's called "overcompensation". Very likely the dev of such a game has huge confidence problems about his own body, so he's drawing those monster cocks on muscle-packed hunks, even on a Shota MC.

And those games where all women have asses and tits the size of truck tires, combined with the permanent display of monstercocks, probably more of a "closet gay" overcompensation. See for example "Taffy Tales" where the MC's cock got bigger with every update, until the sex scenes looked more like a gruesome impalement with a telephone pole.

It is the exact opposite - many people are insecure about their own body because what they see in the mirror doesn't match the bodies of their instagram influencers, movie / pornstars or even fictional artwork. That is why they overcompensate with grotesquely exaggerated artwork of their own, for example to make others believe that a gargantuan penis would be "normal" for them.

Like - "what? Your penis isn't that big? Well mine is! ho-ho-ho"

Ah. when you said overcompensate I thought you meant "if you want a big dick in game it means you have a micropenis IRL"
As this is usually what people mean when they say someone is overcompensating.

Rather than "you are an average dude. but since that does not match what you see on TV you overcompensate in your fantasies"

2. Huge muscles, monstercocks and 8-shaped female figures are NOT idealized bodies. Just look at any classical artwork from the past thousands of years, they all show completely normal, healthy bodies. Regardless of era and culture, the ideal human body is - and has always been - the same.

At most you can see something like Michelangelo's David who looks like he's been hitting the gym for the past 4 years, but in turn his penis is even smaller than average.

So this is more of a derailment of reality perception, caused by things like Hentai comics. AI-generated images making it worse, because these can't tell hentai- and real bodyshapes apart.

I thought the "hitting the gym" thing was pretty normal.
Also the tiny penis thing is something ancient greeks did on almost all their statues, it was basically their form of puritanical censorship. They were intentionally "de-emphasizing sexuality"

But for now, there's only a few boring courier missions, with a minor oral scene, not even teasing much.
You should focus on female characters and how to break them.
