Overview:
The Curse Of Mantras is a dating sim with an optional card-battle gameplay.

You play as either Ace or Lily, as you wake up in a strange, supernatural world known as the Afterlife.
A peculiar man, called Mantras, greets you and introduces you to the world's rules, along with your companions, all of whom have died under unknown circumstances, just like you, and represent avatars of one of the four elements: Water, Fire, Air, Earth, as well as one of the two arcana: Life and Death.

Ace and Lily embody the avatar of death, the most powerful avatar, and the only one who holds the power to activate a strange music box-like device, that can make them remember their past lives and, most importantly, why and how they died...

Each companion has an alignment: Order or Chaos.
Ace or Lily (depending who you play as) will choose between one of the two alignments and form a team that will fight the opposite team until all the battles have been won and their memories restored...

A fair warning. It's kind of tame, adult-wise. It doesn't get more explicit than what you can see on the preview images. Also, each romance option only has a couple of scenes. But, it's been requested, so here you go...

Generally I kinda like WW games, even if the romance usually feels not overly natural & in many of their games the 1 romance option I find appealing is either locked behind another npc I dislike or is the least interesting, but for this game I actually wonder more about how depressing it is? The whole premise sounds really negative and miserable, if someone could tell in advance how the game actually is when you play it I'd be grateful.

Whether you agree or disagree with how some of those are explained, and it's okay if you disagree, it is what it is.
On the Zone, the 'No Sexual Content' tag is defined as:

[Adult themes including mild nudity but no actual pornographic content.]

So, acts like kissing, mild nudity, some groping, spanking, light BDSM etc. would not be counted as 'Sexual Content' here, so long as there is no actual penetration. That's all there is to it.

If you want to engage in a debate as to how that's wrong, how some games don't belong here or how some tags need to be redefined, then you are more than welcome to do so here:

Until and/or if something changes, we have the 'No Sexual Content' tag for a reason. The staff have decided that such games do have a place here. Whether some people have an issue with those games is beside the point at present.

Yea i just tried on joyplay and it also doesn't work, hopefully someone will make a port for it maybe

Ah! One where the LI isn't limited to player gender as all options are player sexual. Good good, always nice to see since I often want to pick the one that's locked behind a gender choice. Nice art work here and the story sounds very interesting, am also intrigued by this card battle system since I rarely see it in a VN.
