sigh who really oversees these promo rollouts/planning , the 25 years lackluster AF compared to the golden ticket promo(yeah yall gonna say it just started...no it is finished because shit's dead). I don't know if it's the right thread but I have some problems with Licence Plates... Well, I downloaded a Blender file for custom (european) licence plates and can render it pretty well in Blender :

I exported it in .fbx :


But after importing it in Daz Studio I have that in rendering view :



It seems to be a lights problem. Looked in the Surfaces :



What could it be ?

Edit : I modified the Glossiness to 10%, I now vaguely see the starts (reflexion 5%) but not the other letters or colors (I don't have metallic layers or options)

Edit 2 : I somehow approximatively found a solution. Had to modify some colors but the result isn't perfect :

Looks like the diffuse color for most of the license plate has defaulted to white. Try changing the diffuse colors for each texture group to more closely match what you see in your blender image.

And yes, this probably isn't the right thread for this, but hopefully this helps!

I suggest looking into car paint shaders for the different texture groups for your license plate, preferably the Iray ones if you are using Daz Iray. 3Delight/Diffuse colors will still show in Iray and often look OK, but the Iray ones may look a tiny bit better, and also might help with the math overhead a tiny bit.

Mainly for the metallicity and glossiness effects that you often see on car license plates. With the basic colors anyways, you probably aren't looking for pearlescent shaders for such things.

So, pretty lame deal on gift cards, but if your store credit is wiped out, it's better than nothing, say if you are willing to invest $100-$200 or so in said gift card to offset the 'buy in' while waiting for a better deal.

Note that the rest of Fashionista3D's store is NOT on sale today, so the doorbuster (which is for G8/8.1/9 at least and kinda sexy) is your best option if you want the extra 10% off your cart.

The Member Festival bundles are annoying me 'cuz they are G9 focused, and I'm not interested in investing in a bunch of G9 head/body morphs, after having collected a bunch of G1/2/3/8 morphs, but for those of you looking for G9, I suppose. I miss the 'Daz+ for a day' deals of yesteryear. The 'better than Daz+' items haven't wowed me, but of course YMMV, particularly if you are on the G9 bandwagon.

As per usual, the $2.99 minimum is watering down the '80% off with doorbuster' deals (so less than 80% off on lower priced items) but at least the extra 10% off cart helps here.

The extra 50% off select 'sea' related items if you have 2 or more

over $1 each is helpful, but the extra 10% off if you have 3 or more new releases over $1 won't help reduce prices below the $2.99 minimum. Tokens will of course reduce the minimums...

So with the extra 50% off up to 5 'sea' related items, you can shoot for higher priced items (say $15 or so before extra discounts applied depending on your Membership level) to flirt with higher priced items to maximize the discount percentages vs. minimums a bit.

I'm sure y'all have been doing this, just noting to check out with the daily stacker first if you are at the stacker discount break point, the stacker count has been increased immediately after checkout from what I've seen.

Still not overly impressed with this year's Member's sale though. The new normal over at Daz3D I guess, barring glitches...
